I liked the ending, Gretchen. Maybe Miranda will surprise
everyone and find herself. Maybe Waylon will help her see
she isn't a lost cause. What she told that old lady in the
pharmacy was hilarious. Your story has turned into an
interesting adventure to find out who Miranda really is.
I look forward to the next chapter, Jan

I work at a pharmacy and almost daily have to bite my tongue when people compare our prices to a big box store. Lol. I channeled a little of myself into her. Lol. Thank you so much for this wonderful review.

Ohhh my! Well, she does have the one thing that any good mother does: a huge heart. Another woman would have called Social Services. But she could do that to Waylon. So, for all her tough words and knee-jerk reactions (LOVE what she said to the old biddy in the drug store!! hahahahaha!! That was classic!), she's actually a bit of a marshmallow inside.

As always, can't wait for the next chapter. xo

That is fabulous. I understand that the best and most famous writers write like that, too. Clean slate, let the characters do the writing. Well, it is TOTALLY working for you!!

What a wonderful decision to make, Miranda is going to be a mum, and that, my friend, is something else. Non are perfect, but nor is human love. One is only capable of delivering the best that they can. I love this Miranda, she knows the difference between character and wimp. Beautifully written Gretchen, blessings Roy

My heart goes out to Miranda. She has an uphill battle but somehow, I believe she's going to find a way to make it work. I can't wait to read about. Thank you for sharing. This is a good story.

Lol! Good for Miranda. She certainly speaks her mind. And I like how the talk with Mom convinced her that she can be a good mother after all. It's all through the negative but it's the kind of pep talk she needed!

At thirteen years old very much more likely to turn to their friends when they need someone most.

Restaurant work not easy. Too many whiners like the women were portrayed.

Funny comment to the old bitty about the cream.

Dialogue fits the storyline.

Seems Miranda made her mind up to be a mom regardless of what anyone else thinks she is capable of.

She has a habit of jumping from the frying pan into the fire. But she has been a very fun character to write. Thank you so much for the detailed review.

This work has reached the exceptional level

Miranda's Mom was right, "When it rains, it pours." She must have a soft spot for the kid or she wouldn't be taking it so calmly. I love how she ran to Moma for advice. Proves she might be successful at parenting after all. Well done, Gretchen. Nancy:)

This is another great chapter. No spags and a very good telling of a serious tale. All very realistic I am sure for a lot of people. Keep it coming. I like your style of writing.

This is a great story, but please coould I give you a little advice. I didn't realise 'till I got to the "he left the kid" that this was the next installement in something I read recently. We all read so much...
It would help the readers if you could group these chronicals into a book, or at least give them a common title partX so that we could go back and refer to the last episode. Also, a very brief 'story so far' at the beginning can help our fading memories. thanks for considering these tedious suggesions. Kate xx

I'm trying to figure out if I can change them from a stand alone to a book. Havent figured it out so far. Wondering if I should just start as book now. It was originally supposed to be a three part story but the character is too fun to ditch now. I did go back and put numbers at end of each title. Hope that helps some. Also acknowledging in authors notes this is something continuing. Thank you for sticking with me on this. I got a tad rusty being off of Fanstory for a couple of years. Thank you for this incredibly supportive review.

Well done. You got me interested in your rough as boots character and held me engaged throughout. I've obviously come in in the middle, but your story was a good stand alone read. I'll be back for more.
