The light is blazing when I see the sunset lately. We have had a sunset in the backyard recently and it has been blazing red or orange. It is very inviting for a camera to take a picture of God's handiwork. Like your poem.

What I feel with a sunset is the feeling of being tucked in bed. The day is over. Your mind and body aches for rest, and then Mother nature comes along and kisses you with one last smile before she turns off the lights.

I have to agree with you, the rising sun is invigorating but a setting sun brings with it all the beauty of the day. It creates colors one wouldn't even think existed.

The camera work in this poem gives us a clear picture of day's end on Lake Superior. Especially noteworthy is your personification of the sun "shaking off the cares of day."
