Do like your double meaning for 'mourning'. For me, the middle line is the best phrasing for your poem. Like info about (peace) lily.

God Bless Ukraine. I see the masses of Russians trying to demonstrate and/or flee the country now that madman Putin has called up 300,000 more troops. HE is the darkness and cold! I pray for peace ~ I think Vlad would need to reconsider his "employment" -- with MUCH encouragement from the people of his country! Alas, he threatens nuclear action. Mad man!

Putin is crazy and so evil. So many good people die too soon while he still lives. But karma is a batch. Hopefully the war will be over soon.

I think you've made great progress in this form and you have this down now. you have the perfect balance, the nature imagery, and the wonderful transcendent epiphany moment. It's all there. I think it's a great poem expressing this feeling that there is life after death, hope after despair. Nice job with this one. estory

You use Mourning instead of morning to make your message clear. Here a single peace lily is in the midst of the rubble; a country president who stands up against the Russian Bear.
