What an interesting and horrible slice of life you paint Liz, especially if you were of the lower classes, they were treated abominably. If you had money or title you were okay, but if you were working class too bad. Very well narrated, Liz you're doing great. Love Anne

There are a lot of great shots of the Tor in your link, but I would like to see the inside of it. Are there any shots of the staircase?

At Previously
P4, s2: (16th century) should be (16th-century) Hyphen

After **************
P1, s3: (16th century) should be (16th-century) Hyphen
P5, s2: Add one space between (and said,) and ("I might)
P16, s1: (question) should be (questions) plural to agree with (more)
P17, s2: (brain) should be (brains) plural to agree with (more)
P23, s2: (50's) should be ('50s) apostrophe to replace the "19" and no apostrophe on 50 to indicate plural rather than ownership.
P30, s3: (crab grass) should be (crabgrass) one word
P31, s1: (up there.") should be (up there?") question

Personally, I am so far removed from this religion or this movement that all of this story is new and fascinating to me. I have heard horrid tales of treachery in the Catholic religion but hanging monks from a tower? The story just keeps getting more and more interesting.

Thank you for your enthusiastic review. I'm glad you are being affected as I hope people will be. The stairs are the cream colored strips people are walking. This is the link to the images inside the steeple https://www.dogpile.com/serp?q=Glastonbury+Tor+inside+the+tower&sc=XnY4AFFOn3d910.

Bummer, something went wrong. I keep getting

    Bad Request
    #05

But no tower. Don't fret or spend a lot of time on why the link doesn't work. I will just have to depend on my imagination.

This link worked. There are hundreds of photos. This place is a real tourist destination. Pictures showed connections to Joseph of Arimathea and King Arthur among so many others. Thank you so much for shedding such a bright light on something I would never have even known existed without reading your article. The place is scarily amazing.

This is a well-written chapter, Liz. You've given us much more information about the then and now, through some authentic dialogue, with a little humour thrown in. Now we wait to see if they get to the top. At this point, I'd be inclined to go home. lol

Thank you for your amusing review. Some people were wanting me to go to visit a museum to try to find 16th century stuff. But like you say...time to go home back to the cottages we were staying in.

A great continuation chapter, Liz. Now the ladies have to find a way to the labyrinth? But first they were sidetracked between 'bobby socks' and 'Coptic socks' which was totally delightful. Perhaps they will find a way. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessings.

Those socks were cool! Thanks for the link and the notes!

I like how Jill brings up the healing aspect of walking the labyrinth. The discussion of how young American history is and how we get caught up in our small world compared to the real breadth of human history is a very important one!

The mystery of the white highlighting came back. You have had it in previous posts before but didn't mention it. In this post it starts with "freakishly-shaped socks."

Thank you for your involved review. I do not know what causes the difference in the writing. I'm not even sure what to do if I figure out that I would just need to retype the whole section.

It's not a problem in reading so don't worry about it. I won't mention it now that it appears to be something FS does during your copying and pasting...

Well edited, Liz, leaving me nothing of a critical note to write about this post. Your girls don't all seem willing to begin another adventure ... and I think I would restrain myself along with the more prudent ones. They had already gone through a lot. Of course, that which makes good common sense, tends to make boring literature, No?

Well, they have finally reached a stage where they can laugh about their frightening trip into the past. Since none of your readers will probably have seen the Tor, you might want to add a bit of description of it. Was there a maze leading to the top, or a maze entirely around the hill to lead to it? Is the tor a tower?

Thank you for your involved review. Thank you for reminding me. At an earlier time, I had a link with images of it. I will remember to include it on the next chapter.

Interesting story. I do know what bobby socks are because I grew up in the fifties and wore lots of them. I read your profile, and it appears that you have lived a busy and exciting life. I like this story and will watch for more of it.

Thank you for your amusing review. Did you go to the link about those creepy Coptic socks. I don't think they would sell well.

Well will wonders ever cease. These gals are on a rook to figure things of the past out so they can find away to the top, Bobby socks are still in style after all these years.

You are missing a quotation mark before "With a pottery metaphor," if I am reading it right.
This was another great installment in The Tor. I wonder if they will make it to the labyrinth. Thanks for continuing to share. Best wishes to you.
