I think reading previous chapters would have been helpful. I need to find the beginning of this story. The characters are realistic, though I've never spent time in a convent/monastery. The group problem solving was a good way to tell the story. Were you once a nun? I have a friend who was a nun for 25+ years and left the convent. She has a book titled "Monastery to Matrimony" though marriage was not her reason for leaving. You might enjoy that book.

    Thank you for your involved review. Yes I was a nun for 28 years. I was amazed how
    similar life of the 16th century was in the 20th Centuryin the convent. It occurred to me, we were living under the monastical rule. That is why with a little research, I was able to fil in the blanks. I actually used some of my personal experiences for the plots. It was very similar except we could go out and teach. You are welcometo read the previous chapters
    with no review required. Just enjoy. Much of it is about our trip to England & all of the power spots. One of my friends there sensed we were there in an earlier lifetime. So I researched the history & ddiscovered it was a monastery of the 16th century with a violent history. So many of my friends I featured in this episode were beheaded....great friend I am...lol

Congrats on the Milestone!

Those stairs up and down could be problematic.

In the "She was answered" paragraph the htlm error is an easy one to edit and should be.

"gods'sake" should be God's sake.

When you are surrounded by people who do not speak your lingo and you need them to in order to successfully verbalize with each other, that can be a very frustrating situation.

This is an intriguing story. I don't understand some of the references to the ladies' past history, but of course, I haven't read your story from the beginning.

I tried to go to the website you suggested to see the stairs, but found only a bunch of other websites. I did find a view of the stairs at this location:

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/0b/68/af/0b68af7e0ad01181b2fef66ead5e7c7d.jpg

Here are some suggestions for minor improvements, for your consideration:

"Was it ours, no way to know.
=>
"Was it ours? No way to know.

we met a stressed English-speaking woman who claimed she'd been waiting for two hours, that the plane was delayed all of that time."
=>

Evelyn looked toward Mary Jo for more incite.
=>

"I guess there was a Sr. Michael Church ...
=>
"I guess there was a St. Michael Church ... [I could be wrong, but I'm guessing it's more likely to be Saint Michael than Sister Michael, unless "Sr" means something else]

I also noticed, among the websites pertaining to this place, photos of a ramp or sloping path that I think led up to the steeple, so maybe your ladies will find that in a subsequent chapter. I would find those steps treacherous, too!

    Thank you for your observant review and your efforts. If you have time or interest you could check out some of the earlier chapters. No review needed. Just enjoy.
    Begin on Ch. 16 when they were vortexed into the 16th century. ...The first 18 chapters are about the power spots we visited, along with a crop circle. All with discussion about the Michael & Mary ley lines. This was building up to an idea of a sense we'd gotten, that we'd been there before. This is what they are referring to in the current chapters.

I finally got to this, Liz. It's interesting how you've all had recollections about other times when you could find nobody who spoke English. It is odd that it still happened in your present situation too. Usually there are some English speaking people around. This is well-written and interesting. I'm with them, waiting to get out. Lol

This chapter is written well. The reader has a front-row seat to the challenges of travel, especially international travel. The character descriptions enliven the story with good relevant dialog descriptions. The descriptions of the terrain and environment help the reader stay connected. Good chapter.

This is another well made chapter, but there are time you switch between present and past tense.

notes:

As I approached a group, I lost my courage as I overheard their discussion. The taller woman said, "Musimy wejÃ??Ã?? po dÃ??ugich schodach."

She was answered by her laughing friend. "Ciesz? si?, ¼e zjad?em dobre ?niadanie."

- editing needed.

What a great continuation chapter, Liz. It was a nice touch to include the foreign languages yet as frustrating as it was. N0 wonder there was a delay in the communications. Better late than never. Very nicely done, enjoyed. Blessings n Hugs!

    Thank you for your delightful review. I've got to make big $$ to repost this. I'm so glad you told me of the fast $ making ones. I just have to do about 7 & I'm back in business. I can't seem to get lower than 30 messages. But I will slowly chisel them down.

If it is only a tower with a circling inside stair, how else could someone get to the top? I don't understand what they want someone to tell them. The word should be insight, not insite.

    Thank you for your involved review. There is no stair inside. Here's a link to show the steep staircase to get up there to the top tower.
    Here is a link that contains images of the dreaded staircase.
    Images of the Tor. Look at how tall it is & those steps with no railing:

Congratulations on your 200 post milestone! I don't have anything bad to say about this installment. I have been in places where I was lost because no one spoke English. You captured that frustration and helplessness well. Keep up the good work! Best wishes to you.

Hope they each find a walking stick! The path does look very steep but they have each other to encourage as they all had a common touchpoint in history. I liked the reference to the Tower of Babel. I'm sure even in their time in the past, English was not the same as today but I'm sure they adapted well.

Do you use the Advanced Editor? If you do, you can get those accented letters using the special character map so you don't get ""Musimy wejÃ??Ã?? po dÃ??ugich"

Congratulations on the 200th post!!

    Thank you for the dedicated review. Yes, you told me of the Adv. Ed. I've been using it ever since. It does nothing for the summary or Authors notes. I didn't notice the scrambles letters. Maybe because it is a foreign language.
