It is a shame and disgrace how the farmers have been looked over and disrespected. If it was not for those farmers, people would have starved to death. It takes special people to work as hard as they do. They are the backbone of the world. Thank you for sharing.

What a great way to see the meaning of life through a faithful farmer's eyes. He knows he is dependent on the Lord and knows it all belongs to Him, so he works and trusts the Lord to bring a meaningful harvest. Best wishes in the contest!

This lovely poem in flawless iambic tetrameter and a-b-c-a rhyme scheme is a well composed expression of an old farmer's gratitude to God for his beautifully thriving corn crop ready for harvest, as he stands admiring his field in colorful autumn sunset.
