Hahahah! Omg! This is getting so good, I can't even stand it. I hope this freaking book is a thousand chapters long because I swear I do not want it to ever end! Emotionally, Aaron and Waylon are about the same age. The biggest difference is that Aaron's old enough to drive. Miranda's the mom to them BOTH at this moment!!! Can't wait to read what happens next!!

Great read, Gretch, AS ALWAYS!!!!!

You got that right. She is a mom to both. Thank you so much for this great review. Gretchen

When a person approaches with a fake smile all you want to do is head for the hills in the opposite direction as fast as you can get away from them.

Waylon's comment about condoms ended Missy's nosynessa real quick.

"waters edge" should be water's edge.

"bootleggers during" should be bootleggers during.

Hello Gretchen,
I read the second chapter first, so had to come back and get acquainted. You have a knack for story telling and the dialogue is realistic. Well done gal. Have a blessed day.

Just FYI, there are several installments in this series. Should have put it in book format but honestly didn't think it was going anywhere. But thank you again for stopping by. Gretchen

You have such a knack for keeping your characters real. It seems there's a Missy in every town, most stopping short of killing their husbands. But she's found her match with Miranda ... who it looks like Waylon's warming up to. A good addition. Your story seems to have one letter too many.

my granddad used to be a bootleggers [... a bootlegger...]

Thank you, Jay. For some reason that damn extra letter keeps popping back up. I've tried three time. Maybe fourth times the charm. Lol. Thank you for your kind review. Gretchen

I think probably all of us know characters that your story reminds us of, or maybe it's just me, thinking back to the misfits I grew up with. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Your story just gets better and better, Gretchen. I enjoyed
reading this chapter. It seemed like Aaron and Waylon have
a lot in common--weirdness--Aaron a leftover hippie and
Waylon--a leftover reminder his dad doesn't want any part of.
Miranda was becoming bolder in the right way. I liked that
she held back what she would have said to Missy. That Missy
was someone who's devious, conniving, and not too bright.
The pond water--eew! I liked the comments Aaron shared about
running the booze--all the people and stories involved..
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Thank you. I love stories about bootlegging and backwoods stills. History is fascinating and it was fun to bring it in to this story. Aaron isn't too bright but has a good heart. Thanks for the great review. Gretchen

It sounds like Waylon and Aaron aren't very bright, or at least not very mature, I can remember nearly drowning on two occasions, if it wasn't for God, (before I even knew Him) I wouldn't be here, I love this story, an Missy Toblerone is positively evil. Well done, Gretchen, great write,. Blessings Roy

I'm wondering if they won't fine Missy's dead husband. I am not sure that's where you're going with this, but it's where I went. LOL I do like the story and I also like Aaron.

This work has reached the exceptional level

I had to laugh at that last statement, Gretchen.
I don't blame her a bit! Ugh!

( "Well, Waylon, it's nice to meet you. I know your daddy from way back. He was real handsome. You must look like your momma.")
What a mean thing to say! Insulting to say the least.

As I said. I love the story. You are doing a great job. Nancy:)
