I have a crochet stuffed bear I purchased at a church fair that I adore. I always admire people who create beautiful items from crocheting. This is a wonderful poem with a smooth flow of rhyming words that makes it fun to read out loud. Great entry for this contest.

Thank you for sharing this writing prompt entry with us. My grandma taught me to crochet many years ago. I haven't tried it in maybe 45 years. I think I will, now that I'm retired. Maybe I can relearn it.

I've done my share of crying over crocheting too. You are far better than I am, which gives me hope and encourages me to keep trying. All I can make are granny squares and even those come out looking like the maker was all thumbs sometimes. I enjoyed reading this poem, you certainly captured the fun and frustration of hook and yarn.:) Good luck in the contest.

An obvious takeaway is that crocheting teaches patience. If you lack patience there is no way you are putting up with stitches coming undone. So, even though this occasional distraction does happen to you, you have not let it get the best of you. Bravo!

I have enjoyed crocheting through the years, but have not done so lately. My favorite project was a baby bunting with a colorful Nordic pattern. It actually wasn't too complicated. I might take up crocheting again this winter!

I enjoyed this verse as the theme is relatable.
I appreciate the presentation, the image is a perfect choice.
My grandmother taught me how to crochet when I was a young girl.
I have such found memories of sitting with her and making blanket, which I still have to this day and I am 53.
I like this poem because it made me recall those memories, thank you for that.
