Delightful! Sunny would be my first choice "puppy" to teach me a game as I'm sure he'd make it super enjoyable and fun! (I'd be the one hoping for the "bedtime" square...I'm always ready for a rest! (Giggle)

It's a very clever game, includes plenty of physical activity, and also observation, singing, colours and numbers etc, and one can't complain about having to finish and go to bed if that's what the game says you have to do!

Right! I'm all about that bedtime square!
LOL...

So cute! I love the way that the dog describes the game and makes me want to play it with him. And the joy and loving friendship he extends to others is priceless! Such fun!

Wonderful review. He would love to include you in the next game.
He is on anti inflammatory tablets at present - raced around like a mad thing, obviously showing off to the granddaughters, and hurt his leg, probably a torn ligament. Resting, and gentle walks only, for a while. Crazy dog. He forgets he?s not a puppy any more.

Aww, it sounds like a fun game and I spent the whole time visualising doggies playing, so you must have done it right. My two male cats (Ozzy and Freddie) are currently playing the 'pull over all the waste paper bins in the house' game.

Lol. Your cats sound like they create their own games, don?t need board games. I am glad you enjoyed my story. Thanks for reviewing. Wendy

Very imaginative, Wendy. Don't mind Ian. He has been on FanStory only four days, done six reviews... He gave out three 3s and three 4s...LOL. One of the three's was to Lancelot! And another to me. I wrote to Ian to try to explain how things worked. He also posted a 4,417-word story with default (tiny font) at 2 cents and 1 point. Just wanted you to know you were not the only one he insulted. LOL
Regards,
Thomas

Thanks Thomas! That's reassuring. Perhaps I was very fortunate then to score a four! He probably doesn't know about the clubs yet, let alone one for animals and their stories! Thanks for the encouragement. Cheers.

Thank you, Sunny, for inviting so many pets to play the Bluey game. It sounds like a fun game and it seems very friendly and not too competitive. And thanks for telling us it's Daylight Savings there. We don't change our clocks until November. They keep changing the date later each year ! Wish we could just stop that nonsense! Have fun.

Thanks so much Helen. Yes, it is a fun game and not too hard for me! The girls help me find things if necessary or answer the trivia questions about Bluey and her family, (which I don't have a clue about!) so it's a bit of a cooperative effort.
Yes, DST is a bit of a pain, because some of our states have DST and some don't. We always change on our October Labour Day long weekend.

That makes sense that the time change always happen at the same time. But these days I doubt it saves any more energy by doing so. We have the same thing here with some states changing and others don't (Hawaii and most of Arizona doesn't.)

Interesting.
Even puppies have to play.
This sounds like a fun game.
Having a dog tell the story provides a unique perspective.
Sure young children would enjoy the board game.

Very cute. Wouldn't we all like to live in 'dog-world' where there are so many things to be happy about and simple stuff is the best stuff. I like the sweet style, which works without it becoming cloying. I couldn't work out if it was supposed to be about kids really and when things start getting adult and dull.

Thanks for reviewing, Ian. However, the notes below state that this is a response to the Animal Crackers prompt about what board game a pet would choose to play if it could. So, it is about dogs playing a board game. Nevertheless I have added a couple of sentences at the top to indicate this as well.

Based on your picture, I'm assuming that Bluey is a real game, as described in your opening, and you have swapped the human children for dogs.
I ask because you spend most of the story sharing the rules of the game which, if they already exist in a real game, this isn't as creative on your part. If you've made up the game and the rules, then super-creative!
Regardless, this is a fun story for this contest entry and dog lovers will love it:-)
Flawlessly written, as always.

Thanks Pam. Great review. Yes, it is a real game that my granddaughters play as they love the tv show and characters. So it?s not as creative, but I thought I?d have to share how it was played for American and other readers who aren?t familiar with the rules or characters, as they would be for something like Scrabble. I appreciate your review.
