I enjoyed the way you used rhyme in your poem, and especially liked the line:
The good things in my life all came from your love,
Very nicely done. Kate xx

Aww. This was such a sweet and romantic piece. What you have written is so true about love. The power and nature of love. I wish you luck in the contest! Great job.

Everything written herein stands true most of the time. I expect there are differences but not with me. Marrying the girl I pursued, who set all the rules, taught me patience, and sacrifice, and a greater love for God.

How lovely this is, mystery poet. My husband and I started dating in 1972 and married in 1975. How sweet your story and appreciation of the one you love. That's really the key to success. Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the upcoming contest,
Sally Law :))

This is well structured and has that lasting love tone that is popular with married folk in their later years. Great idea. This will win I'm sure of it.

notes:

I {loved} you for who you were, for who you'd be,

-love. Make present tense like the rest of the poem.
