Congratulations on your win. I was a little puzzled by your fourth line until I read your notes. I've never tried a kyrielle. Maybe I'll give it a try someday.

Thank you Paul. That was my first Kyrielle as well, so I was happy.

This is a very well written Kyrielle poem. You used very good descriptive and heartfelt words. I am so sorry about the miscarriage, but so happy a new baby is on the way. Best wishes in the contest. love and blessings, Teri

A lovely kyrielle to show the love of a mother/father for their daughter. I like the progression grief of loss, to the joy of having the healthy long-awaited child. Best wishes in the contest!

Because of your spacing, this all looked like one long stanza instead of three smaller ones. Once I read the author's notes, it made much more sense. Thank you so much for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Thank you for the heads up about the spacing. On my PC last night it looked right, but on my iPad I now see what you mean. I have re- formatted so I hope that helps.
Thanks so much for the review.

I enjoyed reading this. I don't usually read the poetry submissions, but this was easy to read and easy to understand. The pain we face as parents when our child is in pain and we can't help them can hurt just as bad. We never stop thinking of them as our babies so we would do anything to not to let them get hurt.

You have told quite a story here in three stanzas of a woman who has gone from tragedy to joy. I especially like how the Speaker provides comfort throughout. A very poignant poem.

This is a beautiful story of transition and evolution - from loss to new life, from sadness to joy - and you've made great use of the form to enhance the emotions of the piece. Very well written.
