Wow! Well, for SURE I didn't see THAT coming!!! This is a very interesting turn of events. Can't wait to see where this takes us!!

I love Miranda's cryptic little sense of humor, especially when responding to simple questions in questionable situations. Like, when Aaron asks if he can come over, and she responds, "Well, Aaron you're creeping out just standing in the dark and staring." HAHAHAHA. I always look forward to these comments from her.

Anyway, wonderful chapter, and, as always, I'm excited to read what next.

Well, finding out that Aaron is rich seems like a break for Miranda and her suspicions. At least now she finally knows the truth, and I'm sure we will find out why it was so carefully concealed until now. I love this saga, Gretchen! Best, JohnC

Thank you so much. Just posted another chapter. Aaron gets a bit more fleshed out in this new one. I appreciate your great review. Gretchen

Goes to show one should never judge a person by outward appearances but needs to get to know them before making assumptions.

Now the question is will Miranda and Aaron hook up?

I think we should know that some folk are more than one sees, Aaron sure is one of those, as are a lot of people, we are quick to judge and slow to shed our prejudicial thoughts, I love the way you write, love your strong no-nonsense protagonist, in Miranda, your alter ego. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Thank you. Aaron is a good guy, just a little unsure of his place in life. Like most twenty something's. I thank you so much for the kind comments. Gretchen

Well, all in all, Aaron still seems 'sketchy' to me, Gretchen.
You did a great job with this chapter--letting readers get
to know Aaron a bit. Waylon seems to have adjusted a little
more to his predicament. I liked the way you described the
night sky. Rita is still out in la la land, and Missy is still out
in her wanna be pseudo-celeb land.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

You certainly have Missys number lol. Trying to give each character their own voice and build on their importance in Miranda's life. Thank you so much for the wonderful review and comments. Greychen

You already know I enjoy reading this story. It's good. I always write in past tense. Something to think about. I'm wondering if it would read a little smoother is it was in past tense, but you're the author. It's up to you.

I push through the double doors and he's frowning at me. (you switched subjects before and after the 'and' so you need a comma)

Thanks so much for the spag help. I've tried past tense. Present tense just comes naturally to me. Don't know why. Maybe I'll challenge myself one day. Gretchen

It's whatever is easiest for you. My preference is past tense.

I'm sure her opinion of Aaron has changed now. He might just be a good friend for her and Waylon. It sounds as though Waylon is settling in now and things just might get a little bit better for the two of them. I've missed The Little Eagle Gas and Go. I belong here. " That says a lot about how things are changing for her. Well done, Gretchen. Nancy:)

Thank you, Nancy. I appreciate your review. I think Miranda has a hard time showing emotion most of the time. Saying she missed the place and she belonged there was a big deal for her. Thank you so much for the generous six. Gretchen

Now I'm just wondering if Miranda will see Aaron differently? LOL. A woman named Mrs. Royalty once walked up and asked me to buy her a drink, which I gladly did. She was old, real old, and her cashmere coat smelled like moth balls. She asked, "So how expense would it be if I wanted to get in the horse business with you?" I said, "Very, and probably more than you could stand." Two years later, I learned she owned Royalty department stores and was a billionaire way back in the 1980s. Looks can be deceiving. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Dang. So I'm guessing you didn't get into business with her? I turned this boy in high school down when he asked me out. He was Icibod Crane in the flesh. Fast forward 10 years and I see him again. HE HAD CHANGED. I wanted to kick myself. He was out of my league. Looks can be deceiving. Lol. Thank you for the fun review. Gretchen

Yes, three years later she flew to meet me, but that was another story in itself.

Hmm, has Aaron got the hots for Miranda? I thought he was way too young for her? Has he heard the gossips and decided he wants to take up on them? Good chapter and no spags.

Aaron just might, but I think Miranda is too busy for romance. Lol. Thanks so much for the great review. Gretchen

Lol! Finally, a nice surprise for Miranda. Aaron isn't sketchy. He's a little dense but he apparently is legitimately rich and can afford two trucks and a luxury-furnished trailer! Now I wonder if Miranda will introduce Rita to Aaron.

Who knows. I think Miranda is the type to hold her cards close to her chest. You will know only what she wants you to know. Thank you so much for this nice review. Gretchen
