"had he know Aaron's" should be had he known Aaron's.

Seemed Aaron is not satisfied with the lifestyles of the rich, buying a trailer and wanting to furnish in Thrift Shop deluxe.

Appears Miranda is conflicted with the "new" Aaron and how she feels about him.

Thank you for catching the spag. Don't think Miranda is really interested in Aaron romantically. Just another complication in her life.

Okay! Very nice segue. I like that you have BIGGIE chapter than a calm one so we can all get our bearings a little...and then anticipate what's to come, see if we'll guess right, etc.

You're doing such a nice job with this, Gretchen. Very professional, letter-perfect, fun, all your characters staying true to their personalities, great dialogue. You have a hit here; you honestly do. xo

Thank you so much. I'm thinking this is a bit different than my normal fare. It's been fun. Miranda says all the things I can't. That's liberating. Lol. Gretchen

Hey, Gretchen, tell me something. When you were away from Fanstory (I think it was about three years since I was reviewing your stories here), were you still writing? Regularly? I can't imagine how you could not have been writing during your hiatus since your skills in narrative and characterization have really blossomed. And you WERE a good writer back then. Now, though there's a real sense of professionalism to your writing.

Looks like my hunch last week was right. Miranda's going to get something going with Aaron.

Jay

I didn't pick up a pen in those three years. I just started writing again in January of 2022. Thank you though. And you just never know about Aaron and Miranda. I have a new sense of feeling about writing. Write from the heart.
This review means a lot to me Jay. Thank you.

You did a great job with this chapter, Gretchen. I enjoyed
reading it. It seemed liked all three of the main characters
have mellowed a little. Miranda is a bit more open to listening
to Aaron and understanding Waylon. Waylon has settled into
a routine that hopefully will help him adjust better. Aaron seemed
like he was trying to come across not to needy, but genuinely
asking a favor. Your lines flowed smoothly with great details.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Thank you so much. I was afraid this chapter would come off boring but I wanted to flesh Aaron out a little more. Thank you so much for the feedback. Gretchen

Yep, Miranda has her hands full, as she has from the beginning. But having a pitiful puppy who is crazy about you isn't the worst thing you can do. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

After reading this post, I actually feel sorry for Miranda. I didn't before. I know she couldn't help her circumstances, but yet she was tough and dealing with them. This time I feel sorry for her.

Ive been here for almost thirty minutes. (I've)

She needs to go with them to keep watch over them. Who knows, they might find Waylon's dad in Haynes Pond. Maybe that's why he hasn't called. Just kidding. I think you said he packed a bag. I like the way she talked to herself. I know a couple who have an age difference like Miranda and Aaron. In fact I know two such couples and they are both very happily married.
Well done. Nancy:)

Hadn't thought about Dougie in Haynes Pond. Would be an interesting twist. 🤔. Thank you so much again for the review and stars. Gretchen

Well, it is awfully nice that Aaron is so civilized to want to walk Miranda home. But she's right next door. And it is big progress that Waylon worried about her and waited up for her. I loved that her reflection talks back to her!

He reaches out impulsively. "Will you help me? (This should be a new paragraph because Miranda was just talking before this.)

that bad once i think about it (I)

"Nothings wrong. (Nothing's)

She's almost talking herself into a corner, but she can't help herself she may be street wise, but her feeling heart will possibly lead herself into trouble. And that is why she's such a great central character, the narrative revolves around her. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Thank you so much. I think she's afraid of falling for someone again. Don't think she's even entertaining the thought about Aaron. Thank you for this wonderful review. Gretchen

I like the dialogue in her head, her self evaluation and her honesty. I like the subtle changes in both her relationships, with Waylon (waiting up for her) and Aaron. I like that there is no clear-cut resolution, and that's why I am looking forward to reading more of your well written work.
