Hi Doug, I'm so going to have to go there with my son someday!!! You need 2 more to see? Try the old decommissioned West Virginia pennetentiary. It was the first prison in the middle states. If you got in trouble anywhere in the middle of the country in the old days, that's where you went. A bit south of there is an old sanitarium. Both are haunted. Both have many tales to tell... and you can stay for night tours at the sanitarium sometimes... EEEEEEK!

Eek is right. It took me three separate experiences to finally say okay, there is something to ghosts. I wrote about the first in The House on Galbraith Line and this is the second one. You must see Tombstone. Not sure why they don?t advertise much. It is a very cool trip. Thanks for the review!

This was a well told tale, Douglas. "Tombstone" is one of my favorite movies. I will bet that you are a believer in the spirit world now. Good luck in the contest.

I am hard headed. It took a few incidents to win me over to "team ghost". Thanks for the review!

Douglas,

This is a great story. You should probably change the category to biological non-fiction. We have a ghost in our 1763 Colonial home. I've written about it. We caught it on camera when we were gutting the house and it has been a mischievous, but never harmful or frightening, poltergeist. It likes to turn things around in my china cabinet so they are facing backwards. (I have a collection of small wooden human figures from various cultures. He makes them face backwards.) Just a couple suggestions below.

Sue

My wife and I entered the front room of the theatre which was a large barroom. Behind the bar was a large mirror --minor thing, but might want to change one "large" to a synonym

In the next room were the twelve balcony boxes where the prostitutes serviced their clientele. -- Fascinating.

The only place that it could have generated from was from up in the boxes. -- delete second "from"

Wing Woman keeps me straight again! Thanks for the catches. I still haven?t shared the story that made me a true believer. Say Hi to your ghost for me!

Will do! There are many mysteries that we just can't understand.

Sounds like an amazing trip. In the first sentence, you could just write 'visited' instead of 'were visiting'.
What was the woman wearing in the picture? Or was it just a shot of her face? Thanks for sharing, and good luck in the contest.
