Ah, your choice of color brought to mind the old jazz classic Mood Indigo. The song describes it as a deep purple.
The poem flows well. The refrains help to hold it together. The short statements make the pace fast. The language is conversational. The feeling is a bit clinical but not unfriendly.

Yours is the second poem I've read where the favorite color is blue. It's unique that you chose a spool of thread to display your favorite color. I don't think I would have thought of that. I loved the poem and its ode to color. Best wishes in the contest.
