Your poem lent a rebellious character to the color indigo. It is a mysterious blue. I liked the comparison to the other colors of the rainbow. This was a fun read that had a lesson woven in. Great job on this one. Gretchen

I like the repetition in this free verse poem about your favorite color.
It is good personification and good information on what the color stands
for.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Joan

How inventive! I haven't noticed this contest ~ I love the idea of choosing one's favorite color and writing poetically about it. Giving the color its voice is a very clever take. I enjoyed your poem ~ and I'd like to get to know "Indigo" better! I can check out my local rainbow, I presume?

Indigo, a rich dark purplish blue is one of my favorite colors, and symbolizes wisdom and intuition, especially during meditation. I love that your poem distinguishes indigo from blue, purple, Paris blue and teal. Your most important message is that indigo IS a rainbow color. Best wishes in the contest.

You certainly do creat a case for indigo, and you've woven a very neat triple stanzed effort with this one my friend, I love the repeating lines that quite definitely reenforce your great work, excellent entry, good luck, blessings Roy

This was a very nice poem. I enjoyed reading it. Very well done, and I liked how you repeated within a rainbow in each of the parts of your poem
with the 3 verses. I think they are called stanzas?? Anyhow your words flowed throughout the poem and made it very enjoyable to read. Thank you for sharing.

You found a great illustration and used a background color to match. Your spelling was error-free, and the verse was nicely formatted. I suggest only one word be considered for rewording, which is in the first sentence of the second stanza. Consider changing the word "no" to the word 'not.'
Best wishes.

Hello Author,
I love your favorite color! Indigo is a pretty one for sure! Are you sure it's not Curillin? (sorry... had to go there) ;)
I did find one line to be a bit on the awkward side; "Not Arctic blue too!" In a poem where other things don't rhyme, you don't want to toss one in. It makes the reader think they're going to find more, or that you've forgotten to do them in other places.
Is there a format to this poem? If there is, you may want to include it in your notes, so the reader knows what to look for. You seem to begin to follow one form, then don't anymore. It's a little confusing.
On the brighter side, it was fun to read about how indigo was within the rainbow, but usually overlooked because of the blue and the violet... but it's still there! You did a good job with it overall, and it was a fun read. :) Susan

Nice write about the indigo color. Have only one question, second stanza. I would check the word "to," I believe it should be too meaning also. The poem flows well and the structure of three lines works.

Thank you for sharing this favorite color contest entry with us. I am familiar with indigo, but you've put an entirely new light on it. I will look at it differently from now on. I enjoyed reading and good luck with the contest.
