There certainly are a lot of F-bombs here, you did a great job with that. I appreciate that you highlighted the F-words for us, as I would have been distracted trying to read your story while finding the prompt requirements. I also learned something about a bird I had never heard of before.

I made a few suggestions, as this is a contest and you want it to be as correct as possible. Good luck!

First stanza: hyphenate blue-feathered; lure a female, not lures.

Fourth stanza: double quotation marks in the last sentence
