Hey! A great non-fiction cat "tale"
(See what I did there?)

--I had a semi-humanoid cat named Patience...trust me, her name was an oxymoron.

She used to sit just like this!

Worse, if I reached for the remote she'd swat at my "paw" with her own!

She had an air about her...

I felt very grateful she let us live in "her" house!

I noted this could jump to Recognized status with one more review...

Are you purring yet?

Fun!

Ha! You are so funny! Masterful witty play on words win me over every time. Yes, the cat is an oddity. You are the first person to tell me that you had a cat who sat the same way. It is slightly spooky when you see it!

Isn't it? My kids found it hilarious...I thought maybe it was the reincarnation of a pushy great aunt (Beatrice) who used to commandeer the controller when her favorite "Soaps" were on!

    Lol....

Well, Jello showed up right after my father-in-law passed, then proceeded to sit in his favorite chair looking like an old man. I?m going with creepy although my kids laughed as well. Hey?.seems like we are the only ones up. Where is everybody?

Beautiful. I love cat stories and dog stories. I always say they definitely have a sixth sense. Of course I have a house full of pets. They are my little angels.
Love this story. Congrats.

Interesting story about an interesting cat. I was very close with my college baseball coach - the father I never had. Almost forty years after I graduated, we were still very close.
My son lost a cat that he loved, and a few weeks later, my old coach lost his battle with cancer. The next day, I heard soft meowing in our garage. I asked my son if he had heard it. He did also. We found a tiny ginger male kitten under my son's car. My old coach had ginger hair. My son named the cat Charlie, my coach's name. The garage door had been down - We don't know how the cat got in the garage.

What a wonderful story about a feline who sounds very independent. I think she is perhaps intelligent; her actions she proves that she is more than just a cat.

That is absolutely hilarious and adorable and enchanting! I'm so glad Jello adopted your family at this very difficult time. It seems he was sent to comfort your wife. I think this story should do well in the contest!

One grammar comment:
between my wife and I, (me) as it's an object of the preposition. But this grammar rule is definitely on its way out as no one follows it anymore!

I think you have one very cool cat! I think both the cat and the writer need to have six stars. My wife use to think one of her cats was Clark Gable reincarnated. He was a cool cat too. Great job. Terry.

My favorite people are characters--folks with a defined personality and quirky habits. The same hold true for animals. You're Jell-O is my kind of cat. I have a feeling he's already enriched your life. That's all the spirit that really matters.

Best of luck at the polls.

Peace, Lee

Haha, what a fun name though, Douglas. I enjoyed your story
about Jello. Her picture is precious. You described what she
meant to your family well. I understood everything and agreed
kitties have that sense of knowing when to comfort their owners.
I would've loved to see her dragging her bed to join the sleepovers.
Yes, I've heard of kitties opening doors just as you shared.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Ahhh once again we are tied in a contest. Shall you be spanking me again? Or is it my turn? Best of luck to you. Very hard to defeat a skilled writing master such as yourself but I shall try! Have a great week.
