I think cats are special creature , the Egyptians worshipped them believing they were divine.
Just having My Pete on my lap and stroking his fur listening to his purr would rid me of headaches, stress , anxiety.
There is something peaceful about them , they definitely are very zen .. and they project that soothing energy to those near .
They are great emotional support animals.
I really loved your story
My condolences for the passing of your mother.
Alzheimer's Is an ugly beast , my best friend s father had it , he died last month. The last year was hell .

Your story was very poignant, although true, Jake. I enjoyed
reading it. I could envision cosmic cat giving you and your
mother comfort. Kitties just know when their human family
needs extra love and attention from them. Your story had
smooth flow and great details.

Very touching story. The story paints a positive aspect on the relationship between animals(cats) and humans. It's refreshing to know that people are still aware of the tremendous therapeutic effect our pets have on us. Very beautiful story, with simplicity in the style and right to the point, as it should be with a flash fiction/story.

This Cat's Story has a lot of information woven into it that provides the reader a wider understanding of the situation than just a guy and a cosmic cat. The empowering of mom, the connection with a cosmic plane which helps in dealing with this world's issues.

Sam look forward to his daily talks with the cosmic cat and over the next few weeks, the cosmic cat was his constant companion comforting him in his hour of need.
The last sentence needs an ending.
