This is a good section to add as you correctly need to remind us about Pat and how Alex needs security. It took the doctor an unusually long time to removed stitches. Usually, fifteen minutes is enough.

These two have become another of my favorite couples. My wife and I used to watch an ABC soap opera "One Life To Live" there was a character named Cordero who was a very popular character. Whenever I read of your Cordero, I always have a visual image of the Soap Opera character Cordero or Cord as he was often called, in my mind. It should go without my having to say it. I am thoroughly enjoying this series of chapters. Great job.

Thank you for the kind review. I used to watch One Life to Live too. I'd forgotten about Cordero. DARN!! How did I do that. I haven't watched soaps for probably 20-30 years. Is One Life to Live still on. I'd also watch General Hospital after it. I had my boys trained to nap during them. LOL

No, sadly it is off. The only surviving ABC soap is general Hospital. My all-time favorite scene from One Life To Live was when Tina interrupted Cord's wedding. Everyone thought she was dead, and she showed up from out of nowhere. Priceless.

I do believe that in the end, he did wind up back with Tina. After of course, some typical soap opera twists and turns.

One of the actors who played Vickie's son Joey, Nathan Fillion, is now a big deal on ABC. He starred in a discontinued show that was very popular 'CASTLE". He is now the star of another popular ABC show 'The Rookie'

Cord and his dad are guarding Ali closely. She seems to get in trouble if left on her own. I really enjoying your story. I've just gotten so far behind I have to wait to read it

Not good news that Pat Rogers is out on bail. He could definitely cause trouble as he won't be eager to meet those ladies at a trial. The mushrooms and chicken look delicious. Rogers and Alan seem cut from the same cloth. Neither is grounded in reality, and they have no respect for women. What a mess if the two got together! As you go back over this, you might leave out the bit with Ali getting drenched with the leaky faucet and Samson enjoying the puddles. I like the humor, but it's just another bit that portrays Ali as helpless and always in need of rescue. Just a suggestion. I think this chapter has a lot going on, so don't worry that nothing's happening. judi

The chapter reads just fine. Everyone is very nice, the scenes are very wholesome. Yes, you reminded the readers of the Texas bad man, Pat Rogers, now that we are away from the New York bad man.
