When Alexandra walked toward the barn, [WHat! Did I miss a chapter or a transition somewhere? What is Ali doing back on the ranch? I thought she left Cord at the New York airport!]
Frankly, I'm happy she's back at the ranch (whenever she got there). The countrified setting works best, in my estimation, with your story.
This was a fun read!

I've forgotten what the 'bikini theory' was.
"There's a woman's church meeting." - This might be technically allowable, but I would never say, nor have ever heard man's church meeting.

When Ali was first attacked with the knife, Cord tried to go into the examination room. He said it was okay because she didn't show more than a bikini would. Ali didn't accept it. LOL I will fix the missing go. Thank you for the kind review.

"Alexandra, drenched from head to toe, attempted to stop it by cupping her hands around the faucet. Beside her on the floor, Samson wallowed in the puddles." [Nice fun relief from the drama.]

I thought this was well done. It's a well thought out chapter and I enjoyed the interaction between them. I like that she asked if she was threatened which gave the reader time to think about it as well. The writing is solid and this was an enjoyable read.
