I liked this chapter very much, Gretchen. It had a complete
different, but still great, feel to it. I liked how it showed the
feelings of the three main characters. Waylon seemed to have
matured a bit as he took in all that had happened. Aaron seemed
to be harboring something from his past which caused the reaction
to Ed's death. Miranda showed ore of her caring side as the result
of the same. She and her mother have each other figured out, but
still care for one another. I don't believe Mitch and Miranda will
become a pair. I believe Mitch sees her as one he can trust--almost
like an informant but ever now and then he throws in a bit of accusations
to make it look good.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

This is a six star development if ever there was one. I love your characters. I've said that before, but they come off so delightfully well (to a student-writer). There is so much to learn from how you massage your characters into and out of situations and they grow so enormously in the process. Aaron is one of those characters. He started out a "creep" in his own right and now I find him worthy of my true love, Miranda! I feel like a daddy letting them go on the first date and not be cleaning the shotgun when he brings her home.

Great job, Gretchen. Start looking for a market for this one.

You are making me blush. I'm stoked you are enjoying this story. But you, my friend, are no student. So cut that crap. Lol. Thank you so much for this awesome review and wonderful rating. I greatly appreciate it. Gretchen

I don't see normal in Miranda's near future or either far future for that matter. LOL I am really liking this story. i kind of like the sheriff and Miranda together, is he married? I remember he has children. Thank you for sharing it with us. This is another really good read.

Thank you so much for this review. I like Mitch too. Think he would be good for Miranda. But I honestly don't know what is going to happen. Gretchen

Love it! So I take it they didn't mention the other body they found. I love the way Miranda treats every situation. I know that she is a reflection of your personality and I would love to be your best friend. lol. The conversations are so real and meaningful in this chapter. Well done, Gretchen. Nancy:)

They kept the reason for their diving adventure to themselves. That's going to be another chapter. Thanks so much for another wonderful review and the extra star. Appreciate it very much. Gretchen

This was a great chapter. Well done, once again. The hand down in his pants...my goodness! You are graphic at times, hehe. Keep it all coming. No spags.

Another well-written chapter with more developments - is the cop really interested in her? That would possibly complicate matters. Her mother knows her daughter through and through - it's one drama to the next. A fine read.

It's nice that Miranda can be so frank and open with her mother. It seems her mother knows her pretty well. I sure hope Aaron showers before eating dinner with them. Waylon did. I wonder why Aaron thought that Mitch was interested in Miranda. Relationships are getting complicated!
Suggestion:
"Yes. I'm still taking care of that boy?" (period instead of question mark)

What truly is normal in anyone's life. I mean, just when we think things are going along with some semblance of normal, we know everything is about to blow all to hell. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

This is a good chapter. Speaking of chapters, just so people don't skip or miss one, will you be placing this in book form?

notes:

"He was. Did I like him? No. Do I think he deserved to die? No."

- At first I thought this didn't make any sense. Why tell Aaron all that, if not say he deserved it? Then, I got it. This shows that Miranda does stupid things just like normal people. Good idea.
