thxs for your stories, especially how smart Thomas is. Don't you think that these tykes are far more advanced than in previous eras?

Lulube! Three? What a fantastic load of fun you all will be having in about 18 months or so! While this Christmas might be a quiet one, next Christmas and all those after that will be fabulous! Growing grandkids! Just what the doctor ordered. Who could ask for anything more. Well, if you find there's one too many, I don't know where you are, but I'd be more than happy to take one off your hands. ;) lol (like you'd part with any of them! lol)
Congratulations!
Susan :)

What! I love this poem, and the interesting structure. Is there a name for it? It's almost like a reverse minuet, except some of the stanzas have different numbers of syllables from the other stanzas. I like the rhyme scheme, and the progression from sadness to joy. Definitely fits the theme of the contest!

Thxs for the tip of off syllables. I must have been counting with mittens on. lol This is my style, oddball styles you might say. So we could call it Lulube's Triplets, just need someone to use it, how about it? thxs so much for your awesome review and blinging stars!

I looked again and nope, maybe I miscounted, because they all have 6-6-10 syllables. Maybe I was counting "favorite" as two syllables by accident. Sometimes I do that when I read a poem out loud.

lol actually you were right, I already corrected the 2 lines. You're not losing it.

I love the birdies of the sky. They are the watchers and messengers. A new life is born. Bringing happiness. Some believe in reincarnation. The soul returns to another host. Whether it be in humans or the birdies. It's devistating losing a parent but the good memories remain. But you never forget and become sad. My mom died a few months back. Yeah, words don't justify the cauldron of feelings boiling inside. You only get one father or mother that wants you to be happy on earth. They look upon you! Look for the signs. Nice poem! I know the wee one brings happiness and hope. Bravo! Sorry, I'm fresh out of sixes.

That's when you add a SOMO- refers to Some Of My Own (stars) I made that up years ago, there are a few of us that use it, you never have to say sorry no more 6 stars.

But I appreciate your awesome review. insightful and supportive.

Tell me something good, ah ha, tell me that you love yeah. Babies are always welcomed into my world, Lulube. That's a beautiful baby. With all the bad that has been happening it is good for us to smile. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Lori,
this poem and your words had me reflecting on all that you said, and how life has seemed to have changed in such a dramatic way for all of us... but life goes on and while we are here we need to make the very most of it... every second, minute, hour, day counts to the total of who and how we are as human beings in our end game.

To finish this off with such a positive after the heartache, seems to be like the sun coming out after heavy rainfall.

Sorry to hear about your father... but really happy to hear of your three little blessings from above.

All the very best in this contest Lori... something good did happen recently.

With our thoughts we create...
the action of our wisdom.

Kind regards,
James.

JJJ, well I only had a daughter, so it's good to see the younger generation want to get right at it and have more than one spaced out from each other. I wonder if there was a secret bet between the moms? My other niece and nephew, brother and sister, both females were pregnant at the same time, babies were a month a part. What's up with this family of mine? lol

Thxs for your intuitive review and am pleased at how this one ended and that you went for the ride with it.
Hoping that you are more relaxed now and getting ready for the holidays, horrordays, to come crashing in. I just stopped giving out presents to my siblings and 9 nieces, nephews and 9 great grand nieces and nephews. this should be more relaxing this year. lol we'll see.

lulube do you do up X'mas like I do? I have to decorate my yard with as much lights that's possible, without blowing a fuse. I gave up on the inside of the house, way better. lol

Lulube,

Congratulations on the newborns! Your poem expresses what we have all been feeling. With the way the big picture has been developing, we are all in need of small miracles in our own lives. Nice poem to remind us to pray and appreciate our blessings. (If you delete all the extra "returns" at the bottom of your poem, the extra blank space will go away.)

Sue

ohhh, I didn't see the returns at the bottom. I will take a look. I usually get 2-4 copies of a poem when I copy and paste from wordpad and it can take a long time to backspace them all out. BUT thxs for your awesome review Sue and for taking the time to give me a heads up.
