Terrific memories, eh? I enjoyed your story of how you Mother Hen'd your underlings, a colossal endeavor! But these are things we remember most vividly, aren't they? I am glad I coached Little League, and was a Cub Master and later a leader in the Christian Service Brigade back in the 70's. Sometimes a man will come up to me with a big smile and handshake in a mall, and though I have no idea who he is, he's overjoyed to see me. I know you are of the same mind. These young people are special to you. But it's nice to discover years later that you are special to them as well!

If you ever tire of writing stories perhaps you could write tour guides for profit. Imagine, traveling to wherever and reporting the highlights of each adventure and warning places and things to stay away from.

Ah Tom, no energy now for travelling. Much as I would love to! That would be a fantastic thing to do. But I now have a rare illness which although mostly managed, leaves me with fairly chronic fatigue. Thanks so much for reviewing.

Thank you Helen for your thoughtful review, as always. The "must-see" typo slipped past me. We don?t use commas any more for big numbers (24 000 rather than 24,000), but I just added one anyway as they must still do it in US. That?s a teeny compromise, lol!

I enjoyed the whole adventure very much, and you concluded it excellently. I think you "grew" as much as any of them, mostly, in your understanding of teen-agers. I did think they should have made better arrangements for you to get back home after delivering them to their host homes. I'm sure none of you will ever forget that trip. There is one small error from transferring-the paragraph about Avignon--must=see.

The travel arrangements had been made by the travel agent back home, with this company, so we were just a bit unlucky there, but in my feedback later, I suggested changing the company they dealt with. Thanks too for picking up the typo I missed. Appreciated also.
