Very nice, interesting and entertaining chapter.
Very credible dialogue.
Nice closing, too.
But, dang. I was hoping to see Miranda lose an article of clothing (or two). (Just kiddin'... maybe) smiley face here
Best wishes.

Lol. Your remark made me laugh. You just never know what she's going to do or when she's going to do it. Thanks so much for this entertaining review. Gretchen

This is a great chapter. I have a guess as to who told reporters about Miranda, but you have tricked me in past chapters. The bloody scissors is a great way to end. It sends the entire chapter (if not the entire story) in another direction. Best, JohnC

Still at odds with the category of this story. Humor/drama/suspense/murder mystery. Guess I'll have to wait until the end. Thank you so much for this great review. Gretchen

It has a bit of all of them! That's what makes it so good. Love the way you write!

This was a great continuation of your story, Gretchen.
You did a great job keeping it fresh and moving ahead.
I liked the 'at home' time the three of them spent. That phone
call sounded just like a nosy reporter/journalist. I'm thrilled
Miranda didn't give in to it. The discovery of the scissors at
the store was a great addition. Someone must've been eavesdropping
at the store or the Sheriff's office to know about them. I believe
someone is trying to frame Miranda--maybe Miss High & Mighty
best friend from high school.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

There are reporters who scope out police stations. They get access to names of witnesses and locations. It is their job to keep the public informed but some can be like vultures. Thanks so much for this nice review. Gretchen

Wow! Dark and rusty scissors, it looks like a frame, and who would want to frame Miranda? Only Miss Toblerone, and if she's got a set on someone, she'll probably stop at nothing, but we still have motive and possibility, but Miranda's not the type. Great plot Gretchen, what should be mundane, you've mad fabulously interesting, well done, blessings Roy

Now What? Is someone trying to pin another murder rap on Miranda? On second thought it must be the murder weapon.
The person who murdered Ed is trying to pin it on Miranda. I think that is a little too obvious. It sounds as though she is bonding with Waylon. That's nice. Well done, Gretchen. Nancy:)

Just when us readers think it can't get any worse for Miranda, it looks like it very well might. LOL. It's always a pleasure, my dear, and thanks for sharing.

Those scissors are the ones that killed Ed Preston. That's not good for Miranda. Somebody is setting her up. I wonder who. I bet it's Missy. Actually, I'm pretty sure it's Missy. I enjoyed reading and thank you for sharing this post with us. Keep up the good work.

Oh no! Now what? Somebody got killed with a pair of scissors? Is Missy trying to frame Miranda? I'm glad that Aaron is compassionate and caring. Even Matt seems like he cares about Miranda's well-being, as well as his business. Maybe he should make them all pay for parking there...

Rut-roh! Looking so bad for the good guys!! If I wave my hand loudly and cry out, "Me! Me! Pick me!!!" can I answer the question of who called the Gazette and who planted those scissors...and who probably did "the deed"? Because I think I have a good idea! But I also know you're wily, so you COULD just be leading me down this path to trick me.

This is just better with every chapter. The writing and dialog are as solid as ever, the pacing is perfect, and you are masterful at the Comfort/Pull the Rug Out schtick.

I'm staying tuned in; that's for sure!! Super nice work. (Oh, and one 'r' and two 'ff's' in "sheriff." Don't make me have to tell you again, Young Lady.) xo

I promise you it's my stupid auto correct. I should have been more thorough in my proofreading though. Thank you for being such a Miranda enthusiast. And for the feedback. Stars ain't a bad thing either. Gretchen

Autocorrect is a horrible invention. Second only to "call waiting" which was about as rude a concept as ever could have happened. I'm talking with you --possibly in the middle of something important, but should someone else ring in, they take precedence??! wtf! Call me selfish, but I'm a big first-come, first-served kind of girl!

One time, because of Autocorrect, a piano mom texted that she needed to cancel her daughter's herpes. I wrote back, "Can you DO that? I had no idea!" She was initially mortified, but to this day, we still laugh about it.

Oh no! Unbelievable. Some-one is setting her up. Where's that Missy woman? She's my suspect! Very well-written with a dramatic turn at the end! Well done. I'm sure you've got us all hooked!
