Ric, you added a very interesting component to this tale. I never realized there would be a part two since we knew she died before they could get together after thirty years.

But there was more to tell and maybe still more. Very Interesting, and of course, all your fans, guys included, believe it is the true love story of Ric Myworld. Outstanding job. Terry.

Terry, my friend, you've made my week. Stars are wonderful and greatly appreciated, but nothing compares with those we read and enjoy liking what we have to say and how we say it. This was meant to be a single post, but if there could be 2 chapters, then why not 3. Thank you so much for your exceptional review! I appreciate YOU!

You don't mention this is a continuing story. The way it ends it sounds like a bittersweet romancem, but I got the impression somewhere this isn't the end. It doesn't read like fiction. Although both non-fiction and fiction could end this way. I hope your continue it. You've alrealy let me know there is a lot of truth here.

Thank you so much, Beth, for your generous review and kind words. At the very top I tried to explain that this is the continuation of part-1 , which you've already read. As with most fiction, there is a lot of truth in this story, more than I'm willing to admit. LOL. I just hope you have enjoyed it. I appreciate YOU!

Excellently written. I like the dialogue; I like the characters; the setting was well outlined and easy to see. And the point of the story -- strike while the iron's hot -- is well-taken, i.e. when one has an opportunity, don't wait for tomorrow. On the other hand, perhaps, Lori made the right decision for both of them. The Lord works in mysterious ways, but really a severely injured brother just to avoid a wrong decision???? lol I don't know, but I enjoyed the story. Glad you posted it. ann

Thank you so much, Ann, for reading more of my foolishness. As with most fiction, there is almost always a whole lot of truth in all of it. Of course, I'm not going to say what parts. LOL. Thanks for your generous review and kind words. Much appreciated!

Now come on, my friend, do you really expect me to believe you wrote a story of "two 'steam' ships passing in the night and let the bonfire end up in embers? Though she was rather cheeky to move on so swiftly without knowing exactly what she missed. There must be more to this story and I am impatiently waiting to read it.

Smiles and hugs, Carol

Thank you so much, Carol, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. Yes, like with most fiction, there is always a few elements of truth. But don't think for a minute that I'm telling which parts. LOL. I intended this to be a single post, but since I've added part two, why not a part 3 or . . .. There is about 30-years worth of this story, but don't worry, I'm not going to drag you on that long. I appreciate YOU!

Well, shit. That is what we call sucky timing. Two ships that pass in the night. Loved the devilish inner monologs. So Lori is getting married. Please tell me you don't storm the wedding. You seem like the kind of guy who would chalk this misfortune up to a learning experience. Hope Tony is okay. Great installment. Gretchen

Thank you so much, Gretchen, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. You know me well, already. I would never have shown the hurt, as tomorrow's another day, and like most everything I write, the story doesn't end here. LOL. Tony made it, thanks for asking. It's special when those I read and enjoy every day like some of my foolishness. I appreciate YOU! Now I have to go back and add five short lines to make this thing complete.

Too bad, so sad. (Sorry for the trite cliche', but I ain't takin' it back. Hah! lol)
Well written.
I had a kinda similar experience, a chance meeting where we really connected, never to see each other again. Nice writing to make me do the recall.
Best wishes.

You've just said the one thing that makes writing these types of pieces worth writing to me. I think most of us have had a similar experience in life. It's always a please to get your reviews, Wayne. Much appreciated!

Do tell, the mighty have a way of finding passage even in the fog. Imaginative, to say the least, or am I wrong in assuming this never occurred. By the Way, LSU won their division in Kelly's first year yesterday.

Congratulations to Kelly and the Tigers! I'll never tell if all or any of this is true, but I just hope that some part of it entertained you and other for a minute. LOL. Much appreciated, Tom!

What a roller coaster ride of drama, lust, attraction, trauma and suspense. You had me on the edge of my seat the entire story, especially the rated R scenes. Well done.

What would life be worth without the R rated scenes. LOL. It's just hard for me to tone them down enough to share on Fanstory. Thank you so much, Tim, for always giving me the stars an encouragement to keep scratching and pecking out my foolishness. I appreciate YOU!
Now I'm off to add five short lines that should have been in it.

Well told story! Tension maintained till the final sentence as of course everyone hopes for a happy ending, overcoming misunderstandings and missed opportunities. It wasn't meant to be, I guess. Will there be any folllow-up? Will they meet again? Perhaps she'll be widowed or divorced.

There is clearly a strong attraction between these two, but fate seems to be working against them. Still, they had that opportunity, but Lori blew it. This is set up like a part 3 is coming, and I'm pretty damn sure we'll all be hoping for a happy ending. And I don't mean the wedding.

I only found one spag, as noted below. Otherwise, this was really well-written, the dialogue was honest, and you could feel the heat between these two. I'm hoping time and circumstance don't keep these two apart.

Thank you so much, Pam, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I never intended to take this past one part, but now, I might as well share at least three, now that I seem to have found a special motivation. But I just realized it's incomplete without five more short lines that I'm headed back to add shortly. Thanks for finding my blunder; especially, since I did read over this a few times so you wouldn't. Thanks for your encouragement. I appreciate YOU!
