This was like nature's royal ballet. I love the line about the stargazer lily's bowing down. This poem appealed to my senses. The colors and the scents that were brought to life through your words. Very well written. Gretchen

I bet they really bow to the regal moon. Thank you for sharing this beautiful package with us. I could feel the summer breeze as I read this poem. Your poems are an experience that you feel as reading.

-Lovely images and nice presentation, Gypsy.
-Thanks for the notes.
-You wrote a very good poem with effective imagery.
-I like the concept of the moon being tangled in the breeze.
-The middle lines acts as a pivot to the lilies
and how they will receive you at your door.
-Very well done.

Now I do know here in my state of New Jersey.
And, just last week.
It started with a half moon. Followed by a half moon.
And, then several nights of full Moons!
Now, I can't remember the Moon being visible so many times in one week!
Yes, and in so many ways.
But since it's November.
We are now going into what's called "The Hunter's Moon"
Or "The Red Moon"
Thanks for sharing.
Doctor Ricky

Great poem. I get the atmosphere of a lazy evening, fragrance of flowers around and a disposition to have a restful nap...
Very well written indeed.

Love how you always know to invoke all the senses from the sight of the moonlight that directs to the beloved's door, to the fragrance of the lilies, and the feeling of the breeze!

I like the way your poem flows, so smoothly. The color and presentation are great, too. Not many poets can write a poem that links the moon and lilies together in a meaningful way.

Great job.

This tanka, Cerulean Moon, looks good and captures the time of a darkened evening and the still, cool moon's illuminating glow upon the scene. ...................................................................

I liked reading this since Japanese poetic forms always catch my attention. Thank you for the explanation of what a manyoshu was. Maybe I will try one soon. I caught an end rhyme with breeze/lilies. Nice share.
