Hi Bill, as usual you gave me a good chuckle. Now, who the heck Willy is, is yet to be seen. I like the way everyone has a good chat before they're eaten by somebody else. Bad apple, paradise and Eve springs to mind. But let's see. Ulla:)))

Oh! This was what went on before the other post. Boy, those animals sure have a lot of conversation before eating and being eaten. But why did the snake say, "Willy?" So many creatures were befuddled by the snake!
punctuation nit:
"So. did you eat the apple?" (comma not period)

I need my eyes checked I guess. I have had many calls on that period showing up where a comma goes.
I felt readers would connect the worm as a relative of the snake. I know they are not scientifically related, but, well, animals don?t talk either.

Lol. Nor do snakes eat aliens. 😊

ha ha ha. I enjoyed this one very much. I admit I read chapter two earlier on today, and couldn't quite decide what to say, so I'm holding off on commenting on that one for now. But this one... I loved the lengths to which you have taken the concept of good and evil. Very anlightening. Kate xx

Thank you, Kate. This snake thing will have to be worked out.

That was a really cute story, Bill. Are you writing fables now? What's the moral of this one? Never stop to talk to the serpent in the garden? Or is it, never talk to the serpent under the apple tree? ;)

I think, never talk to a serpent should cover it. : )

This is an interesting new take on the story of how evil entered the world. Apparently not only could snakes talk but so could frogs, mice and worms. Also the tree had both good apples and bad apples. I would consider an apple with a worm a bad apple. It turned out to be bad for the worm. There were no good ending here except that it's nice to know even in the process of being digested, you can still carry on causual conversations.

I was amazed that the apple didn't have something to say. : )

Hmm. and interesting take on a tale as old as time. I wonder who was more at fault, the worm, the frog or the mouse. Each one allowed his appetite to lead them down a regrettable path. You will always be what you eat. That is the bottom line.

I think the worm over shared.

Nice story.

Couple of little things:

to have it drop where I could chew it up on the ground/"
( switch / for a period)

"No. not exactly." said the mouse.
("No. not exactly," said the mouse.)

This was fun. Good job!

Love it! A mouse and a frog having a combination. While the frog is enjoying his meal, the poor snake realizes it's his friend Willy being eaten. How sad, but funny at the same time.

Aww Willy Worm was his friend! And it was the frog that ate him! Now the snake had to eat the frog. What a wonderful story, Bill, bit sad though, there was no winners. Even the snake was a loser when he found out he'd lost his friend!!! Loved it, Warm hugs, my friend. Sandra xxx

I like this different take on part of the creation story. It was very entertaining. As far as I know, the tree in the Garden of Eden was the tree of knowledge but good and evil work too.

I took some liberties. Did you notice that the animals were talking? : )
