A well constructed kyrielle obeying the requirements of the form and displaying great end rhyming. I loved your poem! It's a crazy word at the moment and I am so grateful for the love of my family and friends. All too often we forget to take the time to smell the roses. Thanks for sharing.

What a great idea. We should never stop giving thanks for those who fought for us. And in many cases gave their lives fighting to ensure our freedom. We are the recipients of their courage. A brilliant poem and a strong reminder of what we owe those who came and served before us.

We all know someone who is worse off than ourselves, even those of us who don't have much. We are always able to give a friendly smile, and say a kindly word. When possible, some can even help out in some other way that will make life easier for the others. This is a lovely poem, Debi, and a well deserved winner of the contest. After Thanksgiving, I will change the name of the poem and the last line to say, "Please everyday give Him our thanks." Or something like that.

As long as we are alive, we should be thankful. Although life has ups and downs. Down time gives us a chance to learn something. For that, we should be thankful too.
