This rhyming acrostic poem, Green Grass on both Sides, presented with the vertical first'letter theme, GARDENING FUN, reminds the readers that the garden is a place to learn, enjoy others, produce, and work with the earth.

An excellent summary! Many thanks.
Comment from Sandra Nelms-Ludwig
This is a well-written rhyming acrostic. The text is a great size. Each line gives a reason why you love gardening and its importance. I wish you had made the vertical words stand out by increasing their size or adding color. Your visual fits well. Good luck in the contest.

Their size is a bit larger. I tried to colour the initials red several times, but it would not save my changes of colour. Frustrating. I?ll have one more try. Thank you for your review. Always appreciated.

Thank you Douglas for your thoughtful and fun review.
Weeding time is thinking time, working out a haiku or something?. Lol.

That sounds like a lot of fun-the sharing, and I'm sure a lot of work.
Neat picture of friends and neighbors, but what is all that growth in the background? It looks pretty ominous.
This is a good subject and nice poem for the "something meaningful" writing prompt.
That must have been in the spring?

Thank you Katharine. That's just an internet photo, not my own garden. But it shows neighbours getting together to chat about their gardens.

Gardens are inspiring ways to get close to nature. We plant a garden every summer and enjoy the fruits of our labor. You have done awesome writing for the prompt. Best of luck in the contest.
