Oh good right off I'm glad and relieved that you have differentiated the two in dialogue. This is very difficult for people who have ADD. Thank you. Many do not know that long before the star over Bethlehem shown there was another star. The Morning Star that shown and led all kinds of indigenous people to a place somewhere in the south of what we now call Indiana. It is called Cahokia where thousands of Native Americans gathered from thousands of tribes throughout what we now call the United States.

Wow. I did not expect the review to be on a two month old entry. Thanks for the read. As for your comment, I believe what you say for I have read another testament of the happening of the birth of Jesus that night in the Americas.
" In answer to Nephi?s mighty cry the Lord spoke to him, saying: "on this night shall the sign be given, and on the morrow come I into the world" (3 Nephi 1:12-13 [1:12-13]). The sign was given that very night?a night with no darkness from the going down of the sun to its rising in the morning (vv. 15-22 [14-19])

I think that's great. It's just the way kids think. It certainly is an interesting dialogue. I vote for ice cream. Best of luck in the contest! Evi

I might have used Dairy Queen instead of ben and Jerry but the picture selected reminding me of New Hampshire or Vermont where B and J's shoppes began. Thanks for the six-star review.

This is an interesting entry in the dialog-only contest. I have one question. Isn't Black Friday the Friday AFTER Thanksgiving? Perhaps this is meant to be funny--boys not knowing what Black Friday is.

It is, and I was wrong but not anymore. Thanks for the point out.

I liked the ending best Tom, Ben and Jerry's ice creams sounds just perfect to me, a fun post, dialogue enjoyed, love the sentient, a fine presentation, love Dolly x

Tom,

You have a lot to say in this one. How often do we ignore the signposts that are put in our path? And why do we do it? I suspect we all think we know best how to run our own lives and choose not to follow the arrows put out for us to find our way safely home.

Maybe we're adventurous? I know I am often pulled from true North be it a pretty woman, a fishing trip, but never envy, I promise you. Now as for gluttony, I like to eat. Be well and thanks for dropping by.

Frankly, my curiosity tends to seek and find the signs. So far, so good. Miracles abound every day.

I thought I reviewed this already... shows how unreliable thought is.
I liked it very much. Using two fonts was a good idea as zero tags often get confusing. My favourite ping-pong was:
Let's pretend we never saw it.
-Yes, men have done that all their lives.
Smart piece of observation. Kate xx

You mean ... I succeeded in being cute? That's a rarity. At church they ask why don't you smile to which I reply I am smiling. There Tom goes again just being Tom.

I think you've written a good slant on the condition of this, they figure that's all there is for them, whereas Christ's life and death, which His way of giving up was quickly neglected for the present, after all life is forever... although other people, but we won't. Beautifully written Tom, blessings Roy

good morning, Tom

The good ole days when things were simple, skies were bright, and the imagination could run wild with thoughts of what might be shining among the stars. I love watching the stars with my grandchildren and seeing what they see. Great job!

Watching the sunset/ first star is recommended by your friend Jack Kruse.
Are you familiar with his teachings/ guru status.
Is there a reason I should not follow his lead?
The Russians built a statue of the man
That dared say and explain the importance of the circadian cycle for health.
After making fun of him for fifty years.
Read the book the Bond.
I liked your conversation piece.
Why couldn't they go on bikes?
Is it because they are going to buy one Elon Musk's hyper speed of light rockets? :-))Z.

Nice job. Easy to follow. I think human kind has always watched the skies for signs and guidance. I know I've watched the sky on many a night, searching something. I've never been quite sure what. Good luck in the contest.

Faith is what I see when I search the darken sky. How all those worlds without end can speed across space at 25,000 mph and all of them stay in place. Amazing. Thanks for reading me.

Faith, yes, and longing too. I have always longed for the stars.
