Terry, I am being careful what I write since my stress level has been over the top recently yet I notice on this post that the name Chelsea is sometimes spelled without the second 'e' and that is confusing and distracting to this reader. But the story is heartwarming and does have the Christmas spirit in it so I give you a five-star rating I must say you wrote this briefly and didn't belabor the point you made so I am pleased with the result. Uplifting and heartfelt this is an excellent Christmas story.

Jesse, thank you for reviewing and for catching the "e" I left out. I got it corrected. I can look and look and I never see those edits. Terry.

Aw that was a lovely Christmas story, Terry, and I'm glad Chelsea saw sense in the end and allowed Mr Bowman to have his lights on the. And referring to your Author's Notes, I agree, there is always some truth in our stories, most are built around that small piece of truth. I really enjoyed this, my friend, and I'm thinking the little bit of truth is the part were your wife wouldn't know where you are if you didn't put your outside lights on.
I love that! Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

One small nit, Chelsea in the last line, you've missed out the 'e' xx

This is a lovely story, Terry about how much that strand of Christmas lights meant to Mr. Bowman, and his memories of past Christmas's. Beautifully told, cheers

Hi Terry,

Well, a nice little Christmas tale here. mind you, she seemed to back down very quickly. Ever a sucker for a sad tale.

Chelsa is the manager of the Trees - Chelsea.

"Thank you, Chelsa." - Chelsea.

You really ough to gather all these Christmas stories into a book here on FS! I'd love to have each one in my bookcase!

Your "truth"
shines as brightly as those Christmas lights Mr. Bowman--er, Terry! (I am positive Zoe would find you, regardless!)

One of those awkward virtual sixes...because (what a surprise!) I am out! On Thursday!

Great story!

Life has very few rules: To make friends it helps to be friendly. To avoid getting arrested, obey the law as much and as often as possible. To please God, read the Bible and do the very best you can to order your steps in accordance with what is written inside it.
At as many times as possible do not sweat the small things in life, they will usually work their selves out without your interference. You are welcome.

Note sp of Chelsa 2x.
I found this to be a heartfelt and charming story. A perfect Christmas story.
Noted that there is some truth to the story which makes it even more enchanting.
Best wishes

A fine Christmas story. People can be so legalistic over the letter of the law without considering the spirit of the law, which is meant for the general well-being. I'm glad she changed her mind!
Wendy
Typos:
paragraph 1, and again in last sentence - "Chelsa"
"What can I do for you." (Needs a question mark)
"how many more Christmas I have left ..." (Christmases)

This sounds autobiographical. I'm glad you convinced her using your power of story telling. What a great story teller you are. I enjoy this Christmas light story a lot and didn't about the strict condo rules like this.

Excellent.

Mr. Bowman and his wife sound very familiar. I'm glad that Chelsea agreed to let Mr. Bowman leave his lights up in honor of his beautiful Zoe.

Suggestion unless it's not a real question:
What can I do for you." (question mark instead of a period)

how many more Christmas I have left. (Christmases)
