This a very dark poem from you; however, it does demonstrate your ability to write on any subject and create a beautifully detailed, fascinating, and creative poem.
Best wishes,
Mary

Gypsy,
Your dark ambiance poem is a creative way of expressing grief and death.
Great graphics and word-images.
Good luck in all you do.
Have a wonderful week, Gypsy.
Blessings,
Cindy

This gogyohka, The Grim's Danse Macabre, presented with the proper formatting, captures the eerie sight of a postmortem affair between the fading specters of living and the waiting receptional.

A very dark one indeed Gypsy, but still beautifully composed with a great attention to detail in this fine poetic tanka. You've crated it with language befitting this theme and genre, well done, blessings Roy

Interesting and scary stuff! Thanks for explaining what a "Grim" was. I thought of the "Grim reaper" and the Grimm Brothers. I liked your internal rhyme of "grief" and "disbelief" even though I know it wasn't intended.

I like to write about different forms and themes to keep it interesting. This one is dark. I read it to my daughter ... she gave me a look LoL she thought it was dark too. I thought of the Grim Reaper, one of my favorite dark characters, but didn't want to use both names so I checked for the Grim and the dog scary creature came up. Dean used to sign his reviews for me with a cute little Grim Reaper LoL it was adorable.

Thank you very much, Big Sister. I always appreciate your reviews and kind words. Have a wonderful day. Love you.

Another fine poem, Gypsy, and I heard a rumor that the Republicans are pushing to bring it back and want to make it mandatory and making everyone go to church on Sunday with an AR-15 strapped on!

Dancing with death.
Skeleton and corpses.
My cup of tea.
Dancing on a high wire above the pit to Hell?
One miss step?
....
Interesting traditions centering around the thought of Death.
But are we truly only 6 feet above?
Above where our remains, remain?
Life's too short to worry about silly things.
Dance the high wire and get drunk too!
Well posted always nice to learn.

Thank you very much, Doctor Ricky. I love horror movies and books. I used to write horror all the time with a FS poet called Dean Kuch. He was the king of horror. He died a couple of years ago. We published a book of horror haiku, and were working on the second one before he died.

You have presented us with an extremely bleak poem here. Your narrator must be devastated. Very well written. Thank you very much for sharing. Kate xx

Thank you for sharing with me what The Grim is. I've never heard that term before. You just educated me with this poem. You present a package worthy of this poem. I enjoyed reading.
