Well done on this two-line poem Wendy. Your words are so true, it takes courage for children to let go in order to learn new things. And hard for us as parents to let them go, try their wings, and succeed in life. great picture to illustrate.

Letting go is hard to do
When I'm responsible for you

As you well know from your recent French adventures. But of course it is essential that we let them experience life's dangers in order to avoid the next time.

Learning to swim is one of those tasks in life that we fear and once we get the hang of it we tend to lose the fear. I enjoyed the positivity here Wendy, a magical write, love Dolly x

Thank you Dolly for reviewing. It's also about us grown-ups, often hanging on to our security comforts, or even our fears.

This is a good two-line poem entry. The text is a great size and fits the visual and message. It looks like a child's attempt at cursive writing. Yes, it is hard to let go of our children and out regrets. Your AN says it exactly. The visual fits perfectly. Good luck in the contest.

Hello Wendy,
What a great poem. So much said in only two lines. There is a degree of fear in letting go of what we feel safe with, but the joy of accomplishment when we do is hard to replicate. Well done gal.
Have a blessed day.
Tom

This poem reminds me a bit of the famous movie Frozen (and its most popular song Let It Go). It conveys a message and it reads well :)
One more thing: this is a two-line contest, I am reading this from my smartphone, and I see more lines (maybe you should modify the layout of the table).

Thanks Joanna for reviewing. On the computer screen it fits well in two lines. (I made the font larger though for people with poorer eyesight.)

This is the perfect two line, essence poem dear Wendy, it's a lovely photo, and yes, the hardest thing I can remember doing was the giving away of my daughter to the care of a young mam although worthy, could he love my daughter the way I loved her, he has proved he can, but that was tough, beautifully written Wendy, blessings Roy

Amen! Plunging into the unknown or letting go of our fears is difficult for the young as well as the old. I think the young have a freer spirit most of the time--a great poem and beautiful picture.

I enjoyed your two-line poem. You did a great job with the internal and end rhymes. It really did evoke the image of a child growing up. Thanks for sharing, and best wishes to you.

I didn't see how it would be possible to write a meaningful poem of two lines, but you showed me. The darling picture of the little girl is perfect for your words.
