Your poem is filled with beautiful imagery and the deep appreciation of Mother Nature and the gifts we too often take for granted. This is a lovely poem. Thanks for sharing.

This reminded me of my sister-in-law's garden, in South Australia. Each spring she has a garden full of the monarch butterflies. Beautifully descriptive rhyming poem June, good luck in the contest. Cheers

This is a lovely poem. We miss those Monarchs during the cold months, but the milkweed is a hardy plant and will be there to sustain life and give the a reason to return. I can imagine how amazing it must be to see that orange cloud as the Monarchs began their journey back to our gardens.

This is a magical write June, love the well chosen words and the sentiments. Those dancing blossoms serve a purpose as well as looking pretty and they are appreciated by the butterflies who visit often, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

This is a great presentation, June. I enjoyed reading it.
Your words were well-chosen which included some great
facts. This would be a good lesson in a science class. The
rhymes worked well as did the details. The picture was a
great addition.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan

Monarchs favor a variety of milkweeds, and in fact, with variety, they'll lay more eggs. However, when given a choice, their favorite milkweed by far is the swamp milkweed.
The monarch is the most gorgeous butterfly around.

I don't think we have emperor moths here, but we do have the largest one, it's called the Hercules moth with a wing span of 27 centimetres, about 10 inches. But that is an amazing moth, it migrates! This is a beautifully written poem in praise to God for moth, beautifully written June, blessings Roy

This poem, Dancing Milkweeds, presented with four ABAB-rhymed quatrains, reminds the readers of the nurturing plant which sends off and lures back the majestic monarch butterflies. Nice.

This is a delicate, elegant poem with musicality created by the regular meter and rhyming scheme. There is sustained personification of both the butterflies and the flowers. The rhyme is natural without words being forced and 'bruised'!

My wife grows both milkweed and butterfly bush in her garden to attract Monarchs. I would love to see that annual migration you describe. I especially like your description in stanza three. Your rhythm is smooth throughout. Good luck in the contest. Rod
