Lord, You are the God of Peace and Jesus, You said Your peace You give us. Please spread Your peace over Barbara and her husband's extended family. We pray that you would give all a chance to say goodbye and that unresolved issues would be covered by Your forgiveness. In Jesus' Name.

We Understand. I had to respond to offer my prayers and condolences. This is a such a bad time for these crises to arise. I hope things will be handled in an agreeable manner. Your father-in-law was really something, taking those Amtrak trips regardless of doctor's advice. All tge best to you. judi

Oh, Barbara, I'm so very sorry for everything that is happening in your family. I always find it appalling how a family man ember can create such infighting when a loved one is about to pass away. I can't help thinking that John had a good time defying the doctors and going away. Bless him.

It's a Do Not Resuscitate order. It basically means allow the person to die without being put on machines to keep alive. Thank you for your thoughts.

Thank you for the well wishes. It's my father-in-law. My father passed away a few years ago without any drama.

Thank you for the prayer. They've been married for about 15 years. They were having an affair years before Brian's mom died. She sat with John at the funeral and moved in within a week. There haven't been good feelings between her and Brian's siblings.
