It would be a strange feeling if you had to make one last call. Who would you call; you have several children, so who would you choose? I would call God and talk to Him to extend my life.

Yes, I probably would too.
Thanks so much for your thoughts, Rosemary. I appreciate them.

This is a cute story that made me laugh. It sounds like a mother who's in a rush to take care of business. Makes me think I should put all my plans on paper for when I have to make that final call! Good luck in the contest.

You are welcome.

This one-hundred-word story, Sorry, has the proper word count and places all that follows in the brief text allowed in this writing game. That's commitment.

Short and sweet ... oh yeah, that was one rule, one hundred words, wasn't it. You've done well, my FanStory friend. Keep on truckin' forward. ..............................

Thanks Tom. Much appreciated.

Well done. Good call.
Don't you just HATE being disqualified (and not getting your money back!)? One of my DQs was for not properly categorizing the piece. And it was a sure-fire winner!
Best wishes and good luck in the contest.

Yes, that's happened to me too, an accidental error. Another time my story was "not a story", despite a clearly identifiable beginning, middle and end! Anyway, I am glad you enjoyed this one. Thanks for reviewing and for your good wishes.

An absolutely wonderful and a thoroughly entertaining read.
"Integrity or inheritance" haha. I loved the spin on words as well as the capitalization. You're so creative.
Good luck with the contest (not that you need much of that :) )

Thank you Sherry for your amazing review, good wishes, and six stars! How wonderful. I'm glad you enjoyed my (slightly crazy) sense of humour.

Oh, this is so clever! I wish I knew who wrote this. You packed so much humor, with just the right balance of pathos in it about the death, so that it has immediacy. I wish you all the luck in the world for the contest.

Lol. Thanks for a super review. I have a weird and dark sense of humour ( not always appreciated)! Thanks so much for the good luck wishes too.

I like the 'gallows' humour here. The idea that certain information can never be publicly revealed, even at the expense of committing a crime, is amusing in the circumstances!

Thank you very much. (Yes, there was in fact a limit of 100 words.) I am so glad you enjoyed my humorous piece.
