Yes, he was certainly a weaver of words - but one with heart. His poetry and reviews were equally honest and touching. They made you think and made you feel in a way that showed he genuinely cared about your work. We will surely miss his uniting force.

Yes, Mike was a weaver of words. His writings were complex
with great usage of words to express his thoughts and feelings.
I enjoyed your tribute to him, Faith. Your words were well thought
out and descriptive. He always went above and beyond the usual,
the simple. But the message of his poetry was meaningful. Your
words were straight from your heart. Though gone too soon, Mike
left behind some amazing words.

with great usage of words to express his thoughts and feelings.

Thank you for this beautiful tribute to Mike! My goodness - it's so hard to come to grips that he is gone! You said it beautifully in your poem - he is a master weaver of words. He loved words. I liked how your first lines all formed your final stanza.

Thank you, Roy, for your thoughtful review. I used his last posted poem, which I believed was inspired by you, as a template. Rhyming is not my forte or even my preferred method of writing poetry, and I hope I did him justice. You are too kind in your praise, but I thank you anyway.
Yes, he was young. I find it especially hard since he and I are the same age. Were the same age? I'm not sure how to write that.
