I like this powerful poem. The words you have written in this 5-7-9 poem have a powerful impact on the reader. The three seas affect our reality on a deeper level than we usually acknowledge. This is good work. The artwork resonates with the poem.

Ciao!

Can't sleep tonight. When I read this poem on the contest page , I was sure you had written it.

I find the sound of the ebb and flow soothing but the vastness of the sea can be scary , one realises just how small and insignificant we really are.

I would not adventure in that vastness , surely one would feel swallowed up by it , just like life when the going gets tough, makes us feel.

Often we can't control the situation we find ourselves in ..it's like being at the mercy of the waves.

We can choose how we are going to REACT though .. accept what happened and move on , look for something that makes us happy, be it poetry or a hobby and not let depression, despair , sadness have the upper hand.

I'm sure your son studying in France is looking forward to seeing you .Are you going to pass Christmas week with him?

You never cease to amaze me. A visit to my son is dependent on an internship he is seeking. I should know in a few days. Put two logs on and let the flame burn bright tonight.

This poem has great depth and beauty! It leaves the reader with much to ponder about what lies beyond the sea's horizon. Paralleled with life's horrizon. There is a sadness and sorrow that lingers here. Beautifully crafted.

The picture illustrates the writing very well! The pun on 'sea' expands the meaning of the poem. The words suggest a number of philosophecal ideas, centred on the phrase 'lost horizon'.
