Of course Mummy always has treats for the fur kids and human kids!! This doggy knows there are always treats! A sweet little story well written for the contest.

Dogs are very smart. They not only know how to smile, they know how to give you sad puppy dog eyes so you'll give them what they want. Your story is well written, and interesting. Best wishes in the contest.

-Very nice artwork and story to go with it.
-A good opening that catches our attention.
-Effective description about how Heidi had hurt her paw.
-I like how the boy indicates treats aren't always available;
a business man in the making.
-Heidi definitely knows who to make eyes at.
-A very good ending, too. Seems mom knows best,
at least according to Heidi!!!
-Good luck in the contest.

LOL! I don't think that the dog is going to learn her lesson this way. I really enjoyed reading this piece of flash fiction. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

This reminds me of my cat, Luna, every time I take to her, or go into the kitchen, or eat something, she thinks it's treat time for her. It's only the two of us, so I've spoiled her. I've started giving her just three treats at a time. Honestly, sometimes I think she can count!

I had a dog that got into a tackle box and ate a six-inch rubber worm that was rigged with two hooks and a spinner. That was an expensive treat. LOL :-)

Well, it seems moms are suckers for sad looks, from dogs, children and sometimes (I hear) husbands. But, not mother-in-laws.

This is well written and you provided a full seventy word story with a flash ending.

Well done and good luck in the voting.

Oh yes, dogs are or can be manipulative, but cats on the other hand, have Lord of the manner approach to their kingdoms. I like this response to this prompt, well done, great post, blessings Roy

No, dogs are not dumb and they soon get to know where extra treats will come from. Though, even though it was self done, a fish hook in the paw did deserve a treat. LOL Good luck in the contest
