a masterful love Tanka about unrequited love affairs - I like the image and feeling of an ebbing tide flowing out taking away your doomed love affair well done

One can feel the pain in these words of a love that is one-sided and uncertain.
Very well-stated and presented. I enjoyed the words and the visuals.
Best wishes,
Mary

Beautifully crafted poem that makes readers pause and reflect on what lies in the unknown:
-This poem seems to explore an unrequited love that is like the tides of uncertainty.
-Your poems may also invite readers to question love as a rising tide: -What might the rising tide bring or what might it take with it as it recedes from the shore-?
-The pull and tug, mood and uncertainty are well represented through imagery.
-A beautifully crafted poem that seems to invite readers to consider what lies in the unknown and the unsaid of this love.

Very nice, Gypsy, to explore love as an ocean.

Excellent work Gypsy. I love words you used that a gave it texture... ambiguity, ebbing, and tidal waves. Lovely, fluid descriptions. Thank you for always offering us your best.

Gypsy,

Like how you combined nature and romanticism into a nice presentation in words and artwork for your Tanka Collection post.

Tidal waves-ocean is a good connection.

Haunting picture and poem. Are writing about how deep inside our emotions ebb and flow? Exploding up like a volcano erupting. Especially if we don't feel loved? Disappointment is felt deep and we question if it because of us, when we feel alone emotionally. It's usually not us but we don't feel that way. Those are my thoughts that arose when I read your poem.

    Hola, Ulla,

That's weird. I checked and all the lines are one color. Nobody mentioned it.

Thank you very much for your time and exceptional review. Happy Holidays!!!

"Ambiguity" is the perfect word to use in this situation. I liked this poem very much. "One-sided love" is so painful, but you wrote about it beautifully. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

A well worded poem as we hang onto a love that is filled with stormy weather in the hope that there will be clarity and peace, but then we realise there is only ambiguity, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

What a good way of putting it, "deep oceans of ambiguity", is the way we humans explain the inexplicable. This is a beautifully written tanka, and just as affective as the haiku in the "tidal" direction of feelings, blessings Roy
