That is a threatening sky, likely a squall line. I was a weather observer for the Navy for ten years from 1966 and never lost the interest since my discharge. Such beauty in something so devastating

I do like your summer vision given our current winter reality (-; We can't fool Mother Nature even when storm clouds bring inclement weather in the form of snow or sleet at this time of the year.
Regardless your verse reminds us of what we are now missing in the northern hemisphere LOL
Of course, I favor posts in the 5-7-5 style any time! Subtle alliteration always works for me in the same vein.

Hello sweet Helen. Thanks bunches. I found an old poem in a folder and thought I would tweak it... I was surprised to see a 5-7-5 contest just waiting for it... I am soooo out of touch. Even though we are having a FS poetry class, I just can't seem to find the time to post. Hopefully, after Christmas I can get back into the groove. Hugs and Merry Christmas.

Hello Dolly. Thank you... I found an old poem from 2021 in my folder and thought I would tweak it and post it. I know most everyone else is focusing on winter weather, but here in Virginia, we are getting mostly rain and storms too. I thought you would be in Tenerife... but, then you would want to be with family during the holidays... :). so glad to see your name, dear Dolly!!
