Racism is a sad thing to experience. God created each of us equally and the color of our skin should not make a difference. (Although to many people it does matter and that's what makes the matter worse.)

Racism is deeply embedded into some cultures and it will take time to change. It is ugly and should not be tolerated. I base my opinions on personality and you can't get to know someone if you dismiss them by their looks. I have known pretty looking people with ugly personalities and these are the people I have prejudice against. Your poem is positive as you see beyond the racism here, don't let those who dismiss you, affect your life, not everybody is like that, have faith in human nature and move on, a poignant write, love Dolly x

Hmm, this is one is bit strange for me. It seems as the writer is saying racism is wrong, that we are all the same, then it pivots at times and says race is important, that color matters. But, isn't that how racism begins?
Shouldn't color not matter, but character should? A bit confusing... but good luck to you in the contest.

I think the title is misleading. Instead of It Is What It Is you go on to say how you can overcome what is. Good look in the contest. Merry Christmas and stay safe and healthy in the new year.
