Hi friend, You did it once again. Just a few words say so much. This form of writing leaves the reader to fend for themselves with a myriad of scenarios to contend with. I am sure each of us comes up with a different thought as to what the text read and how was the prayers answered. You do so well with this form of writing. I enjoy reading what you write and always look forward to your next piece.

This poem has the required number of syllables per line for the contest but I do not quite see where the idea of lost comes into it. I presume that it is implied as the text has answered prayers but that may be a bit too subtle for some people. I do like the poem though so good luck with it

Yes, it is implied as the aspect of receiving a late night text gives one relief of either a physical or mental loss. Thanks for your review.

In such a few words you have captured a strong sense of anxiety and also relief. "Total darkness" echoes the feeling of anxiety portrayed. That one call breaking through. Relief that what was lost is found. Great writing!
