This forgiveness poem, Forgive, is a nicely metered and rhymed entreaty for the releasing of those stressful emotions which do more self-harm than anything else.

I definitely would forgive the person who has hurt me so deeply, but I would never put myself through trusting him again. Maybe it's someplace in the middle. I appreciate your poem, especially the last line. Thanks for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Very beautiful poem, flows really well, carries a deep meaning, even with the amphbrach metre, which in itself is an exploit!!!
Good luck with the contest

You have successfully treated the subject of forgiveness in poetry form. You describe well how difficult it can be to forgive, but then the relief that follows when we unburden our hearts. Very nice poem.

This is a well-written poem for this contest, good luck. The two stanzas work well together. I also think a strength of the poem is the message that even if someone underserving is forgiven, the real beneficiary is the crusty heart. Excellent work. Terry.

I am not sure about all the unstressed and unstress meter stuff, but I can recognize a well crafted piece with a solid rhyme scheme and understandable and logical message. Agree or disagree, one cannot deny the feeling of truth.
Good entry.

You articulate perfectly the importance of forgiveness for wrongs one may have suffered. Holding onto bitterness will only harm oneself. Good luck in the contest.

Your poem lets us see forgiving others for their bad deeds against you, frees you actually more. Great lesson we all should learn. Your poem also teaches by holding on to hate, you become less of a good person. Well done.
