This Tanka was well written based on dreams of butterflies and silk.
Note: Silk fibers are produced by silkworms when they spin themselves into a cocoon on their journey to becoming a silk moth.
These ultra soft fibers are harvest from the cocoon and in their raw state.
By being boiled in hot water still containing the silkworms.

Note: The protein fiber of silk is composed mainly of fiberoin and is produced by certain insect larvae to form cocoons.
The best known silk is obtained from the cocoons of the larvae of the mulberry silkworm Bombyx Mori reared in captivity.(sericulture)

Butterflies grow from cocoons too. I didn't know worms are cooked alive...that's horrible.

I'm not sure of the use of the word 'manic' here. I think of manic as being bad, but silk sheets and dreams of passionate love would be good, right. Maybe I misunderstood.
