Lily was a true heroine. It's great that Bob stopped harassing her. You did a great job, Heather. I didn't see any mistakes. Good luck in the contest. Have a good evening. Shirley

I enjoyed your story, how the sweet-faced girl showed her bully how much stronger she was without being mean or pulling some prank herself. Well done.
On a separate note, your accompanying picture is hilarious!

-Good artwork and story to go with it, Heather.
-You did a good job with it through your examples.
-I don't blame Lily for being fed up, and her mom had good advice.
-Unfortunately, Lily still endured more pranks, but something
important changed all of that.
-It was a serious situation and seemed like no one was
willing to help, but they weren't able to.
-Lily did the right thing because she was able to and had the strength
and will to jump in and save the same person who had bothered her for a long time.
-I like your description, "wet and contrite," and the ending is good, as well.
-A very good entry; good luck in the contest.

This one-hundred-fifty-word flash fiction story, Big Bully, has the proper word count and reveals an amazing event which helps a young girl break away from bullies. Neat story.

Bullies are a huge problem in our society, even my little grandson in kindergarten has to put up with bullies. We talked to the teacher because other parents complained too.

Iike your ending, it's positive and heartfelt.

I agree: bullying is a great problem. I suffered it myself and it had a great impact on my life.

This is a very moving short Flash that brings the main character into a heroic light as you bring the story to a conclusion. Good set up, dialogue and conclusion. Good luck, Maria.

Being a bully, or being bullied, both shouldn't happen. So many children and adults are committing suicide because of these cowardly people. It's so sad when we are all the same in God's eyes, He made us! I wonder at the gaul of people who do it. This was a lovely story, Heather, on that hits home. Being silent and ignoring bullies is not being a wimp, it's being brave. Those boys were taught a valuable lesson. Well done, and good luck in the contest. :) Sandra xx

Now that's the best way to deal with a bully! I would think Bob would be a new person after that. Now Lily is not only not a victim, she's a hero who values life, even of the one who tormented her. Best wishes in the contest!!
