This is a splendid poem and I love every line and stanza. Your rhyme and meter is perfect and the imagery is vivid. All in all, it is a breathtaking poem and I will happily read it again and again because I FEEL spring when I read it!

I really love your poem. It's so delicately weaved and mounting in a crescendo of colours, freshness and new beginnings. Extremely enjoyable and feels like a relaxing joyful music to the ears.

This wonderful poem was like watching a documentary on "spring"! Your well-chosen words worked with the cadence of the poem's meter to soothe, calm, & entrance me as I read every delightful line. You're right, there is no cure for spring fever, especially since you did such a good job of showing us what we're missing! Pure enjoyment!

I really enjoyed your poem. It flowed well and rhyme scheme is solid. It's a beautiful sight when as you put it "all that was dormant, now set free". Well written. Good luck.

I agree with the Speaker in this poem who says Spring is the best season. Like her, I anticipate Spring's coming, the changes it brings as described in stanzas two and three.

Such a lovely poem expressing the joys of spring. I especially liked your second stanza, 'the warming of the fresh spring air' and 'the loveliness of azure skies.' Thanks so much for sharing, and best wishes in the contest.

I also enjoy the change of seasons. Winter to spring and summer to fall are my favorites.
I totally enjoy getting down in the dirt weeding, planting, watering etc etc.
Best time of the year.
Thanks for writing. John

I love this poem as it reads well and the rhyming is great throughout. The only thing that I would change as far as the rhyming is concerned is that you have used 'air' twice. When it comes to the rhythm, you have this more or less sussed except that the third line of the fourth stanza is a bit too long. I would have put something like 'the squirrels race round at such pace' instead.
Well done
