Hi Jesse,
I read this after 'Her Green Truck". So I skipped to the end of the story first. This description seemed like she was one of the best caretakers and would last a long time. Sadly for you it didn't. I can't wait to see pictures or you taking a nature walk or wiggling you toes in the sand.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

Hello Joan. I can't wait either for me to walk on a nature hike or wiggling my toes in the sand. Thanks for reviewing one of my older pieces. I am always surprised when I wake up to find a new review from you and happy to get it of course.
I will keep writing and staying as healthy as I can.
Have a wonderful week!

Jesse,
This is a wonderful true story. My caregivers were excellent too.
I want to be able to take long walks again; not that I am unable, I just haven't pushed myself enough to go the extra mile.
I have my dog, Ruby, to help me through. I trained her to be a service dog (simple commands), so I can take her everywhere and feel safe. I think people get a kick out of an 11 pound dog being a service dog, but really, she's very well trained when we go someplace.
Jesse, I hope you continue to write. You're so blessed that way. I find your stories interesting, with excellent grammar and punctuation.
Blessings, friend,
Cindy

This is exactly the positive direction our life can take after many set backs. Moments that pull us down but allow us to see the light when it starts to shine in our direction again. I see you taking those walks Jesse - especially the ones on the beach. I prayed it a long while back :-) Thank you for sharing news of your fresh start.

Yes, I thought I would never find the right caregiver but I did finally and I am so glad!
Cindy is a dream come true for me and it shouldn't be long before I am walking again!
I will keep all of you updated on my progress.

I am so happy for you, and sorry to read between the lines that you had a bit of a dip in the month I was M.I.A. I am sure everything will be better and better from now on at this time of renewal and new hope. A very happy and healthy New Year, your friend kay (yes it's still me, I just tweaked my name a bit).

Yes, last month was hard to get through but the new year promises to be better. Thank you, Kay, for dropping by and wishing me good vibes on the new year of discovery.

Cindy sounds fabulous, I'm so glad you found her.
It sounds like you are making improvements with your walking and attaining your goals.
I think I would rather be in my own home with a caretaker instead of a facility.
Well written, Jessi. I wish you a wonderful 2023.

Yes, I am slowly working on achieving my goals. Thanks for dropping in and wishing me a lovely 2023. And yes, I would rather live at home than in a nursing home.

I am so happy for you Jesse. This has been such a struggle for you and to have a caregiver like Cindy who may be the one who can help you turn the corner to allow you to pursue your dreams and goals.
Well done you.

Hi Jesse! Thanks for letting us know about Cindy. When I heard about the aftershock, I was wondering how you were. The last month I was with my mom and got o know her caregivers. Thanking God for them and for Cindy!

I have a lot of unknowns here... your age, needs, illnesses, temporary, permanent etc, to be curious of the necessity of the caregiver.
Taken your story at its word, I feel you did an adequate job of detailing it on the surface.
Cheers. John

I don't know the background to this story, but it is engaging and serves as a lovely tribute to Cindy who is clearly gifted as a care-giver, and what's more, a new friend. You have been blessed and your writing will honor that.

I hope a rainbow is on your horizon, Jesse. I just saw the news and it may be better for you to learn to swim before walking. I'm not being sarcastic. In swimming, you use all your muscles, especially the lower parts. I know, for I had problems with my back (3 dislocated discs) I hope this finds you safe and sound and above ground. Take care, my friend, and keep writing it's therapy for the mind.
