I am not sure of the laws regarding carrying guns in the US but we have a polite society in the UK without the need for ordinary citizens to carry guns. However there are metal detectors at airports and other Government facilities to make sure that no one enters with a dangerous weapon. Guns are designed to kill and maim people. If only the Government were honest and trustworthy then there would be no need for them in the US. A poignant poem, love Dolly x

I like your candid thoughts on an important issue. I had the same thoughts when the metal detectors were removed. I guess there is a finer line between freedom and carelessness than I thought. Thanks for taking it on.
